The Betrayal

Inmate Newsletters

My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

We are going to take a break from the “heavy stuff”.  Sometimes the “meat” can clog up the brain.  So, we are going to try some dessert.  To begin this new year, I thought I would put aside “Bible Study” and share inmate letters.  What a better way to bring joy and happiness to the heart than to hear from inmates.  Christmas and New Year celebrations are usually about selfishness, pride and self-interest.  Joy and happiness do not come from such activities.  Only in true selfless giving and sacrifice will we find the true joy and happiness Jesus offers.

In last month’s newsletter, we read how the early disciples of Jesus had to surrender their pride and ego by giving up their old habits.  Therefore, in this month’s newsletter, I want to share letters from inmates who are desiring a new life in Jesus.  Who want to find the joy and happiness that comes by serving Jesus.  And yes, they also are learning that old habits must be removed from their lives.  For some, that means giving up the habit of church.

“‘Unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others,’ Christ spoke the parable of the Pharisee and the publican. The Pharisee goes up to the temple (church) to worship, not because he feels that he is a sinner in need of pardon, but because he thinks himself righteous and hopes to win commendation. His worship he regards as an act of merit that will recommend him to God. At the same time it will give the people a high opinion of his piety. He hopes to secure favor with both God and man. His worship is prompted by self-interest.” COL 150.

The only way to come to Jesus is in humble recognition that we are in need of the righteousness of Christ.  That we have sinned and are in need of the pardon which only Christ can offer.  That pardon comes with a price.  It can only be given to those who recognize their sins, confess those sins, repent from them and fill their lives with obedience to the Ten Commandments.  The pardon is offered freely, but not free.  It cost the life of the Son of God.  So it must cost our lives.  We must die to self and take on the new, sinless and perfect life of Christ.  If we do not humble ourselves, repent and turn from our sins, we will have to pay the penalty for our sins.  That penalty is eternal death.  There is nothing Jesus can do about that.  All your church-going, worship and praising God will accomplish nothing unless the heart is pure and free from sin.

Many wonder why Jesus died on the cross.  I was thinking about this one day as I was walking the property, and the Spirit of God shared with me a concept that touched my heart.  Many wonder why I am constantly talking about living the perfect, sinless and commandment keeping life.  Let me try to explain it as the Spirit showed it to me.  I am so unworthy.  I do not have the skills or talent to do this, but I will do my best.

When Jesus died on the cross, He was only being obedient to the Ten Commandments.  If He had refused to die, He would have broken the 10th Commandment: “You shalt not covet.”  He would have been coveting His own life and ambitions.  He would have broken the 9th Commandment: “You shalt not bear false witness.”  He would have made His whole life of preaching and teaching a lie.  He would have broken the 8th Commandment: “You shalt not steal.”  He would have stolen your eternal life.  He would have broken the 7th Commandment:  “You are not to commit adultery.”  He has married us as His wife.  To love Himself more than us would have been spiritual adultery.  He would have broken the 6th Commandment:  “You are not to murder.”  He would have murdered the whole human race.  He would have broken the 5th Commandment: “You are to honor your parents.”  He would have dishonored His Father.  And so it goes.  That is why the Ten Commandments are the written expression of Love.  Breaking them is breaking the love of God in our lives.

Sit back now and enjoy the letters from hearts reaching out for the pardoning love of Jesus.

Prison Mission Report

Hi Ron,

Thank you for sending me your Introductory Issue.  I read through the “History of the Ministry” and I have also seen and read a little bit of your book from a friend I have here by the name of Juan.  Juan and I work together at the chow hall.  He showed me your book and was able to read to the part about the masks.  I would like to start the “Change Your Life Biblically” workbook.  I would like to receive your book if possible.  Thank you Ron.

Cano, CA

Dear Ron,

I do wish to continue my study.  I also would feel blessed to receive my personal copy of the book, “Change Your Life Biblically”.  Ever since I received the pamphlet, I get up for morning count and instead of going back to sleep, I have coffee and pour myself into the study.  For the last 5 days I’ve looked forward to that morning session, like I had a purpose and reason to actually be awake.  Most amazingly to me, I have learned that it is possible to become perfect and live a sinless life.  I grew up believing that I was “saved by grace”.  I’ve also learned that both the Old & New Testaments share equal importance.  Before, I was led to believe the New Testament was the true foundation.  Through this portion of the study, the “8 Steps” breaks down what seems to be too large a task into smaller pieces that can be accomplished individually, therefore, making the walk better understood by taking only a step at a time.  I’ve learned to get into heaven I have to “earn” my way by turning away from sin, becoming perfect and obeying the commandments completely.  I’ve been taught the difference between a “poser” and a real Christian.  I know that it will take all these steps combined diligently pursued every day if I’m ever to meet the standards of a true man of God.  I’m slowly working on my cellie, but it’s going to be a long process.

Quintin, MO

Dear Jesus Christ Prison Ministry,

I am a follower of Christ.  I was wondering, if it wasn’t too much trouble, could you send me my own copies of “Change Your Life Biblically”?  If it isn’t too much trouble.  A friend of mine let me glance at it and told me “This is where it’s at!”  He went on to say “If you want to change your life, read this book”.  So here I am, asking for this book.  Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read my letter.

Yusef, CA

Dear Sir,

I cannot even begin to exclaim my excitement as I was reading your book.  The only issue that I have is, the book was not my own.  Someone shared it with me.  I would love to have my own copy for it is filled with invaluable information not easy to come by in here, as you may well know.  It was so nice to see that others have had the truths of God’s Word revealed to them.  I have had to suffer so many rejections for His glory.  I have been sharing many of these truths as well.  If there be any way of getting my very own copy of this book, I would be so greatly appreciative.  It would definitely be put to great use as well as shared with others.  The truths contained in this book have truly “Changed my life Biblically”!  I’ve never felt more set free than I am now.  God bless and thank you for your service in ministering to God’s creations the truth.

Darby, VA

Dear Brother Ron,

I received your letter and, as always, it was great hearing from you.  I received my Bible and Great Controversy yesterday.  Ron, I like the Bible being it is a large print and all.  I found a most interesting thing.  A thing showing just how deep the Catholic Church (Satan) has his fingers in people.  The logo used, they call it a “triquetra” from a Latin word meaning “three cornered”.  They say it is an ancient symbol for the Trinity.  No, it isn’t.  From my time in Wicca, I know what that symbol is and it is a perfect example of your telling how the Pope “changed” pagan symbols to be accepted into the church.  It is a Celtic Knot used in Wicca to represent the binding and Power of Three.  Until I read that explanation in the front of the Bible, I never made the connection.  It’s sad how we will let ourselves be blinded so we live in ignorant bliss.

(“Triquetra (/traɪˈkwɛtrə/; from the Latin adjective triquetrus, three-cornered) denotes a particular complicated shape formed of three vesicae piscis (the leaf-like shape in between two equal diameter circles each centered on the circumference of the other), sometimes with an added circle in or around the three lobes. Also known as a “trinity knot” when parallel doubled-lines are in the graph, the design is used as a religious symbol adapted from ancient Pagan Celtic images by Christianity.”  Wikipedia)
Brother Ron, CYLB brought me back from the brink and has answered so many of the questions that plagued me and drove me off.  I have tried talking to some of these men, but they refuse to accept.  So many of the “Christians” in here want to accept religion as it is taught as it allows them to be “saved” and still be who they were.  People just don’t want to ask any questions.  They believe that by not asking it allows them to say, “Lord, we done as we were told.  How can we be held accountable?”

James, WI

Hello,

I’m currently serving a three year sentence.  I want to change my life.  I have been trying to keep company with quality people in whom I see attributes that I wish to attain.  One of these brothers is a devout Christian that inspires me.  After conversing about what drives him to be the man he is, he told me about the revelations that your book, “Change Your Life Biblically” helped him to have.  He gave me your address which he found in the book and told me to reach out and see if I could be sent a copy.

Micah, CA

Dear JCPM,

I’m writing you this letter hoping you can send me a “Change Your Life Biblically”.  The way I found out about it is through a friend here in prison.  I like the way it helped me learn about the Bible and understand the Word.  It made me feel good and closer to the Lord.  I was hoping you can send me a Bible so I can read the Word.  Right now I’m in the hole so I don’t have access to church or someone who can send me a Bible.

Ricky, CA

Dear Brother Ron,

I received your letter, and as always, was great to hear from you.  Yes, I do believe I am being blessed greatly by our Lord.  Sometimes I have to sit back and see all the blessings as I have forgotten how small and subtle some of those blessings can be.  The ones we too often take for granted. Thank you for your comments on the Bibles.  Wow! Your explanation about the Bible and what’s in it, I absolutely loved what you said.  One statement alone summed the whole thing up.  When I read that one statement, Brother Ron, I am surprised my room isn’t rushed.  The “Light” that went on over that statement was blinding.  “The whole Bible is a play on the Ten Commandments.”  I knew the truth of that statement as soon as I read it.  I have to say, though, Brother Ron, I wonder how many people realize that statement.  I am so very serious now.  In all the times I have read the Bible, talked, read, heard others comment on the Bible as a whole, talk about themes in the Bible, no one has ever made so simple and profound a statement.  It’s always how the Bible is about Christ and His life, etc.  Your statement, however, just plain sums up the Bible in ten words. I think if everyone could read and understand the absolute truth of those 10 words, Brother Ron, Satan would lose this battle.  I shall do as you suggest, pray and ask God to lead me to those who are ready for the truth.  Trying to figure it out on my own, I keep coming across guys who “know it all” already.

James, WI

Dear Jesus Christ Prison Ministry,

I am writing you because for the first time in my life I’m in prison.  This whole experience has turned out to be a rock-bottom experience.  Then I began to read your book: “Change Your Life Biblically”.  A voice in my head keeps telling me to reach out to your ministry.  Well, I know a little about the Lord.  After reading your book, “Change Your Life Biblically” I learned a lot more.  I am 89 years old and want to get out of prison going in the right direction.  If you can help with any more information or books, please send it to me.  Most of all, I thank you for your book, “Change Your Life Biblically”.  It has been a great impact in my life.

Dartagnan, CA

Dear Brother Ron,

I came in contact with a brother that highly recommended your book, “Change Your Life Biblically”.  Could you please send me a copy?

Jeffery, TX

Dear Brother Ron,

I am writing you to thank you and the Lord Jesus for your great book.  At the same time, as my brother, I’m grateful that you are able to help us with your ministry.  It happened that I came across one of your books.  I was really immersed into it.  Especially the way you talk about the things and truths of His Word.  I am currently serving a sentence of 84 months.  So far, I am in my 2nd year, almost.  I have been studying the Bible but I would like to have a copy of your book, if possible?  The copy that I read was from the chaplain’s office.  The book was fairly new.  Seems like nobody had used it.  Maybe because most of the population here is Hispanic.

Jose, OK

Hello,

I am serving an 8 year sentence.  I found your book in the library.  After reading your story, I knew I had to read the book.  I lost two plumbing companies, my wife and two girls do to my addictions.  I realize that my blessings turned to pride and all was lost.  I have nothing to my name left.  I gave my life to Jesus and have read the Bible from front to back many times.  I have now read your book four times.  My understanding for Jesus has been made clear now by your book.  I was lost and confused, but your book, with solid scripture to back it up, fulfilled my understanding.  Your book has changed my life and made clear the message of salvation.  Everything you said about the church makes full sense.  It removed all contradictions and confusion from my life.  I thank you for the Bible study.  The time and effort you put into it will change many lives.

Roland, CA

To Whom It May Concern,

My heavenly Father has allowed me to come in contact with a certain book that had your address in the back pages.  It was titled, “Change Your Life Biblically”.  Can someone in your organization sponsor me to receive a copy of this book?  I do not have means to pay for this book.

Tracy, PA

Hello,

I saw an ad for you in our prison Christian library.  I saw that you offer a number of services.  I am very interested in a couple.  Could I please join your Bible study program?  I am a fairly new Christian.  I would like to learn as much as I can in the time that I have left here before I get out.  I have less than two years left actually.  I am desperately trying to change my mind-set before I get released.  I don’t want to become another statistic and find myself back in here.

Chris, TX

Dear JCPM,

I am asking for the book, “Change Your Life Biblically”.  I want to change my life around to God.  Can you please send me one.  God bless you.

Paul, CA

JCPM,

Up to this point in my life, I have been going back and forth with being selfish.  One of the things that I have learned from “2nd Peter’s 8 Steps” is how to change that and how to stay consistent with that change.  I learned that Jesus is part of both the Old and New Testaments.  As of now I am trying to discipline myself and abide by the strict training that is talked about in the lesson.  I have also learned the importance of being obedient to the Lord.  I want to strive in my life to lead by His example.  I want to stop sinning in my life.

Marcus, CA

Hello,

Another guy in here gave me your booklet.  I read it and liked your story.  This is my 3rd time down.  I am sick and tired of letting drugs rule and lead my life.  So, I want to try and let God lead it.  None of it is worth being away from my family and God.

Jared, OK

Big Brother,

It’s always a blessing and an honor and privilege to fellowship and correspond with you.  CYLB was a real spiritual instrument in regards to God’s plan for mankind.  It really did transform my way of thinking and the way I thought eternal life was earned.  I thank you big brother and I glorify God for your sake.  You have brought me closer to God.  So much closer!  One of my good friends would like to know who Jesus is and get to know Him.  I told him I knew exactly how he could do that: Jesus Christ Prison Ministry.

Frank, CA

Dear JCPM,

I am writing you today on behalf of becoming a candidate for your Bible course.  I think that this course will help me better myself with my walk with Christ.

Jeffery,  LA

Dear Jesus Christ Prison Ministry,

I was told that you have an excellent Bible study and that I could write you for a complete list of courses you offer.  I would very much appreciate this.

Brooklyn, OR

Hello,

I am writing and would like to request a free “Change Your Life Biblically”.  I am very excited in beginning the book and studies.  I am in the process of changing my life and it is working.

Michael, TX

To Whom It May Concern,

I was writing to see if you could send me the book, “Change Your Life Biblically”.  I saw it here and I really wanted to read it.

Diana, CA

Hello,

I am interested in your study guide, “Change Your Life Biblically”.  I am writing to ask if you would please mail a copy to me.

Julia, MI

JCPM,

I’ve learned that most people think that they are doing their best at serving the Lord, but we really aren’t until we make our life about serving Him.  I’ve also learned that there’s more for me to learn and that people need to always pass the Word on what they’ve learned.  All faith needs to be placed in the Lord.  I’ve also come to learn that the Lord is the first person you should always obey.  The only person I should ever fear is the Lord.  Most people forget this big fact.  I’ve also come to realize that I need to do a better job at spreading the word that I’ve been blessed to understand.  Receiving this booklet was a blessing.  I really needed the re-awakening.  I’ve always been a Christian, but sometimes we can get a little too laid back.  This just put me back in the mind frame I needed to be in.

Allen, VA

Hi,

I’m in jail right now.  My brother in Christ received this book and I would like to get one myself.  So, please can you send me one?  Thank you.

Sean, CA

Big Brother Ron,

I have an attitude of gratitude my friend.  It has been a privilege and an honor also to not only take this course provided by you, through the inspiration of God, but also to complete the study, Ron.  This is the first completion that I have achieved by God’s grace and mercy.  I must admit that it feels good brother.  The certificate package was awesome.  I will share with my friends and family in Christ with hope that they will one day write to you and reach out to your ministry.  This new 2nd edition of CYLB is personal for me brother.  I will cherish it always and continue to grow and learn from it.

Frank, CA

Dear Brother,

I met an inmate who told me about you.  He said that you help people who want to learn about Jesus.  I would very much like to learn more.  I understand you bless those who would also like to receive Christian books to help in Bible study.  We have a Bible study every day.  He told me about your book, “Change Your Life Biblically”.

Juan, CA

To: JCPM,

I have learned from a Christian brother of your ministry.  I would like to ask for one of your “Change Your Life Biblically” books.  I want to study and to grow in my Christian walk with the Lord.

Andy, TX

Hello,

I am respectfully requesting your free book, “Change Your Life Biblically” and any other life changing literature that you may have to offer.  I praise God for your ministry and the work you are doing to help others reach out to Jesus.

John-Roy, CA

Dear Jesus Christ Prison Ministry,

I came across this Bible study sign-up sheet at the prison chapel.  I am sending to you the sign-up sheet along with this letter in all hopes that you have a slot open.  Thank you for your time.

Daniel, CA

Dear Ron,

I have been in jail since I was 24 years old.  I am now 28.  In my 4 years of jail, I have done many Bible studies, not really understanding their significance.  I have tried to stay in the Word, but I keep on falling out.  At this point of time, I feel like I need a change.  I know that God is good for me, but I struggle to understand the messages.  I am facing life in prison.  I have looked at your Bible studies and enjoyed reading a little of them.  I like how thorough it is and how easy to understand.  Please send me the Bible study.  I want to get back on the right track.

Daniel, CA

Dear Ron,

What I have learned from doing these answer sheets is that you have to commit yourself for life.  It’s not something you pick up or put down, which is why I never gave much thought about the Bible because I knew I wasn’t ready.  I didn’t want to play with the Lord like that.  Plus, you know, doing time, inmates look down on Bible thumpers.  So of course I didn’t want to look like I was weak.  But as you get older, you learn how dumb that is.  I wish I should of taken the time to learn more about my Lord and Savior.  I’m 55 years young looking at 25 to life.  Since I’ve started to read the Bible, I’ve never felt better.  I look forward to reading it every day.  I know I have a lot to learn.  It is a lifetime commitment.  I have waited a long time to do something with my life.  I want to be a good man.

Juan, CA

Dear JCPM,

I would like your “Change Your Life Biblically” workbook and to be put on your mailing list for any studies you may offer.

Dennis, TX

To Whom It May Concern,

Since I did not see a name in your book, “Change Your Life Biblically”, I’m not sure whom to thank for writing and preparing this fine work of material.  My cellie has lent me the book to read.  Now I’m hooked!  Praise the Lord!  I am writing to request my own copy of this book so I can take more time with it.  The amount of information and explanatory detail is absolutely phenomenal.  I am unspeakably grateful for the work that you have put forth in this book.  I can’t wait to receive my own copy.  My cellie gave me the enclosed advertisement before we became cellies.  I brushed it off for over a month until he moved in and I started reading his copy of the book.  I am excited to start my own journey.  I am a 35 year old ex-gay Caucasian male.  I believe Christ has put it on my heart to minister to younger gay and ex-gay men.  It is a very deceitful, alluring lifestyle that only leads to death.  If I can minister to and help save just one young man, then I’m happy.

Shawn, PA

Dear Ron,

I’ve had the privilege of looking over your book from another inmate who already has your book.  I was very impressed with the book.  I would very much appreciate it.  I will be glad to have my son send a check to pay for it.  It is well worth paying for.  Thank you so much for the work that you did and the extra work you went through to make sure it’s available to jails and prisons.

Mark, WI

To Persons @ JCPM,

We, the women, would like to request your “Change Your Life Biblically” workbook.  We have found your newsletters entertaining and informative.  Thank you for your dedication.  We look forward to receiving the workbooks.

Worker’s Dorm, CA Jail

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to request to be put on your Bible study list that you offer.  I’ve seen it and am interested in taking it.  Also, find enclosed the sign-up I was given to sign up for the “Change Your Life” workbook.  Can that be sent as well?

Kenneth, TX

Jesus Christ Prison Ministry,

Enclosed is my completed Introductory Issue of “2nd Peter’s 8 Steps”.  I have also enclosed a piece of paper with my mailing information on it requesting the book, “Change Your Life Biblically”.  Thank you very much for the lessons which I have learned so much from.

Aaron, MO

JCPM,

I would very much like to receive your book as well as a Bible study.  I have no one and nothing on the outside.  Every day it feels like I’m dead to the rest of the world.  It would be wonderful to know that someone knows and cares that I am still alive.

William, WA

Dear JCPM,

I am active in our nightly prayer circle and weekly Bible study.  I am writing for any material or Bibles you can send to help my mission to get closer to God.  I am alone in prison as most of the streets I left behind have forgot about me.

Christopher, CA

To Whom It May Concern,

Recently I was reading the Prison Education Guide and I came across the listing that profiles your Bible study correspondence.  I am very much interested and eager to begin.  Please mail me any required enrollment documents and course study materials.

Thomas, CA

Attention JCPM,

I first want to thank you for all you do for us prisoners.  I would like the free copy of “Change Your Life Biblically” and study sheets.  I’m a Christian and looking to learn everything I can.  I thank you for your time.

Peter, CA

Dear Ron,

I thank Him for this ministry, fellowship and teachings.  I also want to thank Him for the numerous mercies in my life.  I’ve learned that I must look more closely at Scripture to understand parables.  To pay more close attention to exactly what Scripture is saying and not to twist it up.  I am starting my re-read of the Bible.  This time from cover to cover.  That is something I have never done.  I am also going to actively share my faith of the gospel to bring my fellow brothers to Christ.

Christopher, CA

Hello,

I’m 19 years old and never had Jesus in my life.  I want to learn more about Christ and knowledge of Him.  Thank you.

Edgar, CA

JCPM,

I would like to sign up for your correspondence course Bible study.  I truly hope to be enriched by completing it.  Thank you for this opportunity.

Michael, TX

Dear Sir,

I’m writing you from a Texas prison.  I’m looking for Bible studies to do.  I had asked a friend about any he may know of and was told about you.  I took time out and sat down and wrote this letter in which I don’t ever do.  But this one I did.  I have enclosed a form in which contains my info to do the “Change Your Life Biblically”.

Tommy, TX

To Whom It May Concern,

I am currently incarcerated in a woman’s correctional center.  I came across a booklet from your ministry.  I am interested in receiving the booklets myself.

Angel, NV

To Whom It May Concern,

I am 24 years old currently serving a life sentence since 2011.  I found the information for this Bible study and would like to receive one.  I’ve read through some of the “Change Your Life Biblically” and it really caught my attention.  So, if you may please send me one, I would greatly appreciate it.

Carlos, TX

Dear Ron,

My cellmate was sharing “Change Your Life Biblically” with me.  Please send me one.

Robert, CA

Dear Sir,

I got your info from our chaplain.  I would like to do your book, “Change Your Life Biblically”.  And also, can you send any info you have on your Bible study.  I’m doing a few studies now.

Gregory, VA

JCPM,

First off, I want to thank you for sending me this lesson.  It has given me the opportunity to learn a lot from it.  The thing that really caught my attention was that through Jesus Christ, all things can be done.  That really helps me today because it builds my faith up stronger then it was before.  And now I also have learned that faith in Jesus isn’t just about having faith in Him, this also means to be faithful to Him.  This lesson has shown me to humble myself and serve others and not to be selfish.

Elias, CA

JCPM,

Through this study I have come to see how sin can control a life.  How the devil and world can twist truths to become lies to support their ideology.  It is through diligent study, faith and obedience in Christ that one can see the evil for what it is.  It is by believing and living in Christ that you come to have power to overcome said evil.  To do so you must believe in His authority as Son of God.  To live righteously without worldly temptations in your life or house.  Keeping Christ’s commandments and teachings will allow you to walk with Him and be a light to others for Him.

Ken, TX

Hello,

I had seen your “Change Your Life Biblically” flier thing and was wondering if I could get sent that.  I am trying to change and better myself in the Lord’s eyes.  I am trying to find out who I truly am and what God’s plan is for me.

Donald, AZ

Hello,

I was passed an information/resource sheet with this address.  I hope that you may be able to help out with some positive literature.  I’m new to my walk with the Lord.  I turned my life over to our Savior and am growing daily in my faith.

Ivan, CA

Hello,

I am a new born-again believer.  I was at a fellowship Bible study and someone showed me a book with your address on it.  I was supposed to get it from him to read, but I was unable as he left the institution.  So, I am writing to see if you have the book you can send me.

Tommy, WI

Dear JCPM,

I’ve been here for two weeks.  I don’t have any family in Pennsylvania.  I do appreciate ministries like yours.  For being there to help me to grow closer to God.  As a mater of fact, I’ve never seen another ministry that is even 1/3 as helpful in my spiritual growth as your ministry is.  Thank you so much for your help.

Gary, PA

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to ask for a blessing; a book called, “Change Your Life Biblically”.  I want to learn more about Jesus Christ.  I have surrendered my life to our Lord and would like Bible study courses.

Leonard, CA

Dear Brother Ron,

Hi.  I hope this finds you and Duke doing well.  I got moved to a new dorm so I’ve been trying to get myself resettled.  I’ve learned over the years that we grow wherever the Lord plants us.  I really appreciate your putting me on the pen-pal list.  I’ve never done this before.  Hopefully I wrote an eye catching page that would have me flooded with mail.  Thanks Bro.  I’ve also got 3 more brothers signed up for the courses.  I spread the Word wherever I go about you and the JCPM.  Here at this unit they teach a watered down belief, “once saved always saved”.  I’m not liked very much around the church here because I expose their false beliefs that they teach here.  I pray that God would open their understanding to the real truth.

David, TX

Hi,

I just found Jesus and am looking to learn more about Jesus.  If you could, please send me any books or literature.  Can you send me “Change Your Life Biblically”?

Jeremy, CA

Hello,

I received your leaflet in the mail today.  I want you to know any help with resources and workbooks would be highly appreciated.

Anthony, CA

Brother Ronald,

Thank you for sending that letter of support.  The board found me suitable.  I could feel the presence of God when I was in that hearing.  In the beginning everything started off badly before I even entered the hearing room.  God persuaded the commissioners and the D.A. to lean toward my parole suitability.  I haven’t told many people, but the ones I did tell I gave all credit to God.  With every step of my preparation God navigated my journey into seeking to be found suitable.  You are one of the few people who have been kind to me.  I’ll never forget you, the ministry and more importantly God.  Thank you.

Big Joe, CA

(Joe did parole.  God blessed him because of his love and support of this ministry.  He has been supporting this ministry since 2008 with tithes and offerings as an inmate.  Every time someone sent him funds, the first thing Joe would do is send tithes and offerings.  He did all he could to share this ministry with those around him.  And when it came time for him to go before the Parole Board, God blessed him and moved their hearts to recommend parole.  A couple months later the governor signed his parole.  I praise God.  The first thing he did when he was released was to send tithes and offering from his “gate money”.  He has continued to support this ministry.  God is blessing him mightily for his love to this ministry.)

Brother Ron,

Let me just say that the last newsletter I received from you I am learning so much from.  I like the fact that you are blunt about what you teach.  No sugar coating and that’s great because having a relationship with the Lord is not a laughing matter or a joke.  Continue what you are doing.  I am sure you are touching and changing many, many lives.  Including mine!  Thank you for taking time out of your busy days to respond and minister to me.  I would like to sign my friend up to receive a book for her birthday.

Maria, TX

Brother Ron,

Thank you for putting up my letter, brother, and also for all that you are doing on behalf of all of us inmates.  God is truly working in and through you my friend.  I have been looking for more Spanish speakers interested in the transformation guide that the Lord has been blessing us with through your “little ministry”.  The newsletter turned out to be really great and a blessing, might I add.  The way that the Scriptures are being broke down and applied to our days and times, really mindful and correctly discerned.  We must always look to Jesus.  No one or nothing else.  The fact that you are disarming the power that has been put into these man-made “churches” is also wonderful revelations from the Lord through this ministry.  The revelations that you are giving us through the Lord Jesus in your ministry needs to be brought to the attention of humanity.

Jesus Christ Prison Ministry,

God bless!  I found out about your ministry through another Christian brother.  There’s plenty of hardships in prison and I lean on God to pull me through.  But the kindness of another human that shares the faith is a blessing.  I would love some information on your Pen-Pal service.  It would be a delight to meet new people and form new positive relationships.

Mr. Ron,

I am writing you to thank you for the enlightening Bible studies.  I want to take this course in hopes I will have a better understanding of the Word.  I do not understand the Bible in its entirety.  I have done some Bible studies and they have left me with very little understanding of the Bible.  I believe your Bible study will give me a greater understanding.

JCPM,

Love is a powerful gesture.  Without it we can have many different empty feelings.  As I sit in my cell, I think how someone loved me so much that He died for me.  Not to do it just to say, “I saved you, now you owe me”, but to do it with a genuine heart of love for His creation.  I often ponder just how big Jesus’ heart was.  I’ve done a lot of bad things in my life to a lot of people and that took away my heart.  All I cared about was myself.  This study has opened up a whole new meaning of love for me and what I can do to share it with people around me.  Brother Ron, I would like the workbook sent to me.  I’m finishing a parole violation and need some study material to help learn more and to teach my family.

Thomas, NM

Ron & Ministry,

I don’t know where to begin.  So, I will start with, “I need help!”  I’m currently a gang member.  I’m tired of all these so called “homies”.  I’ve been in this lifestyle for a long time.  I’ve lost everything.  My girl, my family, my life.  I feel so hopeless.  I’m struggling with depression and I was so close to hanging it up today.  But I received your pamphlet today and I’m hoping it is a sign.  I’m a sinner looking for more.  I have no one and nothing.  So I’m reaching out to you.  Will you help me find a better path?

Kolton, OR

JCPM,

First, I seen that I can live a sinless life before God.  I do not have to submit to sin any longer.  The false teachings of “once saved always saved” has many tentacles that reach out in fakeness to ensnare those who are looking for a “loop-hole” religion.  This really opened my eyes to the need to separate from bad company that teaches those false doctrines.  I thought I was showing love by going to the prison chapel and fellowshiping.  But I seen the greatest love is to follow Jesus and be an example of truth.  “This is love, to follow the commandments of God!!”  2 John 6.  I was doing 7th day Sabbath Bible studies, and yet, I was following “grace” in a fake way.  You are right, “Saved by Grace” isn’t in the Bible.  “Saved by faith, through grace”, but never “saved by grace”.  I want more.  I will die here in prison.  I don’t see parole until 2045.  I’m 51 years old now.  You helped me see myself in a different way, “Volunteer Missionary”.  Wow, that really helped me to smile and be content.  I do my best to live the Romans 13 life.

Robert, TX

JCPM,

I would like to begin Bible studies and have a pen-pal.  I need to find my faith and joy in life again.  This place is so lonely.  My family has given up on me and I need some guidance to find myself.

Samuel, NM

Dear Ron,

Thank you for all your hard work on “2nd Peter’s 8 Steps”.  It taught me a lot and reinforced lessons I needed to remember.  Thank you for your obedience to God’s calling in your life.  It means a lot to have someone out there sending me the Word of God for my edification.  As you already know from having sat where I sit, an ambassador in chains, I would like to take this opportunity to request the “Change Your Life Biblically” book.

Christina, CA

Hello,

I would love to receive your literature and if possible a cool pen-pal would be nice.  If you have any self-help books you can send, that would be great.

Allen, CA

JCPM,

I’ve learned to open my eyes to the words of Jesus Christ.  He tells us clearly “Why do you call me Lord if you don’t do what I say?”  Luke 6:46.  We are in fact called to give up our old self and follow Jesus Christ.  I was doing a 42 year sentence and after 9 1/2 years I was granted a new trial.  While I waited for the new trial, I bonded out and was the pastor at True Hope Community church.  After the new trial process, I ended up with 30 years and now have about 2-5 years left.  God has been good to me.  I have been to Bible college and graduated.  Your “2nd Peter’s 8 Steps” has opened my eyes to the truth of “once saved always saved”.  I was on the fence about that for a long time and I therefore never taught it one way or the other.  Now I can’t wait to get your “Change Your Life Biblically” workbook to feed more on God’s Word.

Andrew, NM

Hi,

I received some mail from your ministry about a week ago.  I want to thank you for even taking the time to send me the information packet.  You know what is funny, is that the day I received your mail, I was sitting in my cell and had just got done reading a chapter of Exodus and started thinking to myself what it would be like to get into ministry.  To be a preacher or pastor or anything of the sort.  I was really getting deep into these thoughts when the guard stopped at my cell and handed me an envelope sent by “Glory of Hope” ministry.  I remember going through everything and the one thing that caught my attention the most was a coupon that had a little check on it and read “Change Your Life Biblically”.  I for one do believe that sometimes things do happen for a reason.  Well, I have sent the coupon out so I’m looking forward to studying for my certificate.  I would like to ask, how or where did you get my information from to send me the things you sent?  Know that I appreciate what you do.

Hi,

I’ve been down since 2016 and since then, I’ve been getting closer to Jesus Christ.  I’ve never been away from my family till now.  I’m going through a divorce after 23 years of being married.  Through all of that stress, Jesus Christ pulled me out of that deep dark hole called depression.  It is the devil’s playground.  I gave my life to Jesus Christ and He put good people in my path.  I started reading my friend’s Bible and praying.  Slowly every prayer has come true.  I’m happier than I have been in a long time.  My friend told me about your Bible study program.  I’m very interested in studying with him if possible.

John, NM

Dear Ron,

I greatly appreciated the newsletter.  I am currently reading and almost completed in the study of “Change Your Life Biblically”.  I wanted to get these other brothers on the same page though.  I now observe the Sabbath and honor God in my walk.  I enjoy working out my salvation.  Praise God.  Here are a couple of brothers that wish to join the course.

Christopher, CA

JCPM,

This study was incredible.  I feel like it was almost written directly to me.  Thank you and God bless.  I learned that there is hope and power in Christ’s Word and to keep His commandments and to be humble, patient and to love those around me.

Jeffrey, CA

Hey,

Brother Ron, God bless and keep up the work you are doing for Jesus.  I’m writing you to let you know that I have transferred to this other facility.  I’m finally getting your re-route mail.  When they moved me, they confiscated the “Change Your Life Biblically” book.  I hate to ask, but if you can, please send me another copy so I can finish the test.  The book has opened my eyes up to a whole lot.  I feel with out it I’ve been a lot lost.  CYLB has helped me to know the life that Jesus wants me to live.  Thank you for writing this book.  It is making a difference in my life for the better.  I’ve been exposed to things I didn’t know.  Now I know what it is that Jesus wants from me.

Andre, CA

Dear Ron,

I came across your newsletter and as I was reading, I came across the “Prison Mission Report” where inmates request certain items.  I myself have strayed away from God but want to be healed and brought back home to the Father.  I see inmates requesting “Change Your Life Biblically” and I am also asking to please receive such workbook.  Thank you for the services you provide the inmates.

Mike, CA

JCPM,

This 8 step message from 2nd Peter makes a lot of sense.  I had never looked at it like this.  Now I know I can follow Jesus by using these steps.  Now I’m going to practice these steps.  I’ve been praying for the Holy Spirit to guide me and teach me and help me conquer sin with these steps.  Now I know that I have the capabilities to follow Jesus and worship and lead people to Him.  I know that I can not do it on my own strength, but through the power of Jesus Christ.  These steps gave me a lot of hope in walking in the light of Jesus.

Claudio, TX

Dear Brother Ron,

I received your latest letter.  As always, I enjoy them greatly.  I always thank Jesus for bringing you, Duke and JCPM into my life.  Brother Ron, the more I read from Patriarchs and Prophets - Wow!  It’s so cool.  I don’t know how a person could read it and not see it is inspired by Jesus.  As I read about the Hebrews and Moses leading them, the miracles they saw, hearing the voice of God and still they let themselves be lead to idolatry over and over and over.  I’m like “How?”  You people were there.  How could you doubt, turn your backs?”  And then it expresses that how can we wonder about them when we are doing the same thing today.  Ron, until you pointed out what covetousness was and how it is about intent, and until I read those pages, I never really understood covetousness.  I have never heard a sermon on the 10th Commandment.  There was actually, except when I was a youngster, no sermons that I even heard on the 10 commandments.  Religion does not teach them.  They are the most important laws given and religion disregards them.  I get that I’m not telling you anything you don’t know, but, I am guessing there is some joy for you in seeing my growth and excitement.  (Yes! and AMEN!)  I hate that it took so long and late in my life to happen.  But, I am so happy that Jesus allowed the truth to finally come to me.  I feel like a sponge absorbing all this.  There was a time my belief would have been left behind months ago because of its falsity.  I know I am growing.  Yes, at times the past gets to me, but, I am getting better.  Growing in my belief and faith.  Ron, I will take your “cult” over any religion that is out there today.  I too appreciate God using a dull and worthless tool named Ronald John.  For with God and the Spirit you have worked a miracle in me, allowing me a place in heaven and eternity.  A priceless gift.  Thank you for such kind words.  I don’t feel worthy of.  I am trying to be content, to let God work His will in me.  I like what you say about trust and it being hard.  So many people say and act like trust is such a simple concept, yet, their actions say totally otherwise.  Thank you and praise Jesus for this lesson.  I will be pondering it, letting it percolate in my brain, make its way to my heart and come to the point where one day I will be like  - Okay, Now I’m there.  :-)  I just wanted to share some of what I am learning.  Take care my friend and brother in Jesus.

James, WI

JCPM,

I am greatly looking forward to receiving anything you have to offer that provides me an opportunity to strengthen my relationship with Christ.  I am 31 years old and been on a rough road for some time now.  I gave my life to Christ a few years ago, but am still unsure of where my life is going.  Now, in prison, I would like to bring myself closer to the Lord and my family.

Ernest, NM

Dear Ron,

I am reading the booklet on the teaching of John.  A brother in Christ who is already enrolled in this ministry gave me the booklet.  As I began to read, the Spirit of Truth began to reveal to me the true teachings of Jesus!  I am ready to humble myself and listen to Jesus and Jesus only.  I’m ready to turn my back on the devil’s organizations and lift up my face to Jesus and Jesus only.  Please send me more studies on the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Michael, TX

Ron,

I am very grateful for reaching out to me in a speedy fashion after the letter I sent to you.  I am very impressed with your ministry and in the manner in which you responded to your personal calling from God Almighty.  I too have an amazing calling in ministry.  I hereby invite you to personally come along side me to mentor me and monitor my progress.  I run a daily Bible study and praise and prayer circle.  There are some amazing things taking place already and know that God will continue to use me and your ministry to bring many more souls to the Lord.  I am enclosing just a few names of inmates who would like to receive the material you offer.  I personally want to become more involved with your ministry.

Rob, CA

Dear Ron,

These three topics of “Works”, “Grace” and “God’s Plan of Salvation” were very well written and indeed properly interpreted.  Backed by Scripture which really was interesting.  So, it was my privilege to share this good news with four other people and have them sign up for this awesome correspondence.  I am living much better, pray more and have a deeper and greater respect for God.

Travis, CA

Dear JCPM,

I was recently gifted with your contact information.  The brother who passed it along, I believe, also got it from another brother.  So, he wasn’t entirely sure of the full details of your ministry.  However, he did know for certain and for which I’m writing about, is that you offer a study book “Change Your Life Biblically”.  Please sign me up for the course.  The last 3 to 4 years I’ve been striving to focus on living biblically.  Being in this environment can be a struggle at times.  I thank you in advance.

Raymond, TX

JCPM,

Thank you for the blessings you bestow on us prisoners.

Michael, CA

Dear Dad,

All is going very well with me at work. In fact the last 2 days I’ve been training for another job responsibility that will of course involve a pay raise once they see I’ve learned it. The guy who’s been at that position for years I hear is making $30 an hour. Yes I said $30 an hour. Not to say I’ll make the same but if I become as good as him and learn as much or good as he does his job... then one never knows. They need someone to fill his place when he calls in sick, goes on vacation or what have you. I’ll be learning how to read the orders, the different chemicals, calculating how much needs to be divided up, etc...etc. So it involves a lot of responsibility. They also want someone who shows up everyday and on time and doesn’t leave early that the other 2 guys who said they wanted a shot at it but weren’t at work on time, every day. So praise God?  Not to mention they said something again about me becoming a manager once I learn the process etc. Wow, amazing Dad, isn’t it? The Lord seems to have put me at the right place at the right time. Overtime they say will continue on till mid November. I imagine it will pick up again next year sometime.  They pretty much hire all the guys I refer.  And as a matter of fact yesterday on the way home while on the train I saw someone standing who looked like someone I might know.  So I got up to ask him.  He remembered when we met, where, and all that I did for him. We met at end of the year 2015 at the county jail where I gave him a CYLB book and helped him write a letter. He says he still has the book! :-) We are now friends on Facebook.  He’s been out a few months now.  So I asked him if he’s looking for work. He said yes.  So I immediately text my boss to ask if he still needs guys. He replied yes. So I texted Leo the info where he will go in on Monday to fill out an application. ☺ So little by little things are working out pretty good.

Juan, CA  (Paroled inmate)

(Marvelous things happen to those who love, support, promote and live by the information this ministry is putting out.  It is amazing how much good we can do when we get out of our churches and begin working for Jesus.  I picked up Juan, my “son”, from prison about April of 2018.  “Big Joe” paroled not long after.  Both have been strong supporters of the ministry while in prison and now continue to be.  This ministry does all it can to help inmates in every way possible if they will surrender to Jesus and live in obedience to Him.)

Ministry News

This was a very expensive year for the ministry.  Much equipment needed to be repaired or replaced.  I am humbled by those who have sacrificed so much for this little ministry.

Tax time is coming.  I pray that each of you will do all you can to keep us in mind.  I thank God for touching your hearts to keep this ministry up and running.  Without your tithes and offerings, gifts and “thank offerings”, we would not be able to do what we are doing.  Thousands of lives are being affected.  We were able to send material to over 4,200 inmates last year.  With your continued support we could reach over 9,000 inmates in 2019.  The inmates thank you.
Love in Christ,

Ron
