The Betrayal

John: Jesus Our Savior

My Dear Family in Christ,

For thirty-three and a half years Jesus had lived on this planet. He gave up Heaven to come down to this pigsty of a world to save us, but the world preferred their glitz of a pigsty to the life of purity.

Have you ever wondered why Jesus is called “Savior”? I was raised, and spent the first 40 years of my life, in a Sabbath-keeping church. I went to the denominational schools from 1st grade all the way up to college. So, of course, I knew that Jesus saved us eternally. That He saved us from eternal death and we would live forever with Him. As long as we belonged to the right denomination and church, of course. It wasn’t until a few months back that the Spirit of God actually confronted me with the concept of “why is Jesus called ‘Savior’”?

The Spirit began to instruct me, taking me through the Bible and enlightening my eyes. The Spirit of God, while dictating and directing the book, “Change Your Life Biblically”, had already revealed that grace cannot save anyone “eternally”. Why? Well, if grace could save eternally, then all would be saved, since it is His desire that all should be saved. God is no respecter of persons and wants all to be saved, therefore, if grace could save one person eternally, then all would have to be saved. That includes Lucifer. But grace can’t save Lucifer and therefore, grace can’t save one “sinner”. The Bible is very plain that Jesus can “save” us from disasters, sicknesses, physical death, accidents, etc., but not eternally. The Bible is also very plain that we must “work out” our own salvation by obedience to the Ten Commandments. Salvation is a choice. Only those who give up sin, living in perfect obedience to the Ten Commandments, will have eternal life. After all, Jesus is very plain that when He comes to separate the sheep from the goats, He does not separate by feelings, wishes or pick-of-the-straw. He comes to give each man the reward he has EARNED. Therefore, each of us is responsible for our own eternal life or eternal death. We earn our eternal destiny. Revelation 22:12.

And that is where I left it until a few months back. Then the Spirit of God took me deeper. He is opening up a whole new dimension I had but vaguely understood. Why did Jesus perform all those miracles when He was upon earth? Let’s face it, Abraham didn’t perform any miracles, nor were any performed for him, and yet he believed in God and brought many to the truth. Isaac didn’t see any miracles, and yet he accepted his father’s God. Jacob had no miracles given him, and yet he made God his God. I don’t even read of any “miracle” to convince Noah to build the Ark. Isaiah did not work one miracle. He did, however, give Hezekiah the choice of the shadow going forward or backward. But that was not a “miracle” from Isaiah in the true sense of the word. Jeremiah did not work one miracle. They all just believed in the “word” of God and went to work. But when Jesus came, He did many miracles. The Spirit of God enticed me to find out “why”?

Since the fall of man, those who believed in God, and the coming Messiah, were acquainted with His work “to restrain transgression, to put an end to sin, to make atonement for lawlessness, to establish everlasting righteousness, to conclude vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy Place” and were required to sacrifice a lamb to show their faith in that Messiah. (Daniel 9:24). By bringing the sin offering to the altar of sacrifice, they recognized that they had committed a sin and needed to repent from it, turn away from it and live without sin. That is why a perfect lamb was used in their sacrifices. The lamb could not have any blemishes or defects. It represented, not only the life of the Messiah, but the life they were to live, perfect and sinless in order to be accepted by God. Leviticus 1:10.

By the time of Jesus, the sacrifices and church services had degenerated into a ritualistic formalism by which the people were taught, by the church, that the church with its rituals, traditions, services, customs and sacrifice “saved” them no matter what their spiritual condition. Today we have the same problem. We go through our ritualistic formalism of going to church and church activities thinking we are saved. Therefore, Jesus had to correct their concept. But in order to correct it, He had to approach it from two different paths. The first was to teach them the truth, that the sacrifices, rituals, “church-going” services, feast days, traditions and ordinances could not save them. They had to live the perfect, sinless and Ten Commandment keeping life to get into Heaven. But that posed a problem. The people had lived so long in sin, they did not think it possible to live without sin. And as a man thinks, so is he. It is by beholding, contemplating an idea, that we can then begin to grasp the understanding of it and change our own belief system. The understanding of living a perfect, sinless and commandment keeping life was just not taught. It was alien to them and the church. How could they “stop sinning”?

That is where the “Savior” part of the mission of Jesus came in. The miracles He performed were to show the power of God to “heal” the life. But in order for that power to work in the life, in each case of “miracle” the person had to have faith in Jesus to work the miracle. They had to “behold” Jesus. (Mark 10:52). Jesus wanted to heal everyone of their sicknesses, but He could only heal those who had faith in Him. There were whole villages where He was not able to heal anyone because of their lack of faith in Him. By these illustrations He was directing the people to the fact that even though He wanted to cleanse and heal everyone of their sins in order for them to have eternal life, He could only cleanse and heal them of their sins if they had faith to live in obedience to His healing power.

So, even though Jesus could not save one person into Heaven, He could offer them the power to “work out your own salvation” by using the power Jesus offered to overcome sin in their lives. If they would open their eyes to Jesus and study His life of obedience, they would develop faith in His power to heal them. If Jesus could open the eyes of the blind, He could also offer the sinner the power to cleanse his heart of sin. But the sinner had to have faith in the words of Jesus that he could cleanses himself through the power of Jesus in his life. That is what makes Jesus our “Savior”. He doesn’t save us “eternally”, He offers us cleansing from our sins so we can have eternal life. And He does that by giving us the knowledge of how we can live perfect, sinless and commandment keeping, thereby giving us the faith to put forth the work to “stop sinning”. You might look at it like this, Jesus can’t cleanse us, but He can offer us the “soap” whereby we can take it and cleanse ourselves. The soap of God and your work of rubbing it all over your dirty body cleanses the dirt away. By doing that, we confront the reality that sins are going to be hard to overcome like dirt on the body. We take our sins to Jesus and in cooperation with our effort to overcome them, He will join His “soapy” power to our effort of cleansing. That is why we are to take His yoke upon us. Then we can live without sin. Then we have eternal life. That is why the angel said, “He shall be called Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21.

“There is a science of Christianity to be mastered—a science as much deeper, broader, higher than any human science as the heavens are higher than the earth. The mind is to be disciplined, educated, trained; for we are to do service for God in ways that are not in harmony with inborn inclination. Hereditary and cultivated tendencies to evil must be overcome. Often the education and training of a lifetime must be discarded, that one may become a learner in the school of Christ. Our hearts must be educated to become steadfast in God. We are to form habits of thought that will enable us to resist temptation. We must learn to look upward. The principles of the word of God—principles that are as high as heaven, and that compass eternity—we are to understand in their bearing upon our daily life. Every act, every word, every thought, is to be in accord with these principles. All must be brought into harmony with, and subject to, Christ.

“The precious graces of the Holy Spirit are not developed in a moment. Courage, fortitude, meekness, faith, unwavering trust in God’s power to save, are acquired by the experience of years. By a life of holy endeavor and firm adherence to the right the children of God are to seal their destiny. {MH 453-454}

Those who claimed to be “the chosen people” thought they were “chosen” because of their lineage and connection to the “church of God”. But Peter makes it very plain that “the people chosen” are “to be obedient to Jesus”. 1 Peter 1:2. It is obedience which is the “soap” that sets His “chosen people” or “His Church” apart from the world. It is obedience that “cleanses” us from sin. If you are not “obedient to Jesus” in living as He commands, perfect, sinless and commandment keeping, you are not “His chosen people” or a part of “His Church”. Being obedient is our work. The choice is our own. God can’t do it for us. You must take the “soap” of salvation into your own hands and live as obedient children to the teachings of Jesus. “As obedient children, do not be shaped by the desires that used to influence you when you were ignorant.  Instead, be holy in every aspect of your life, just as the one who called you is holy.” 1 Peter 1:14, 15.

But if you are taught you can’t stop sinning, can’t be perfect and can’t keep the Ten Commandments, than who needs Jesus as their “Savior”? The Jews, church leaders, priests and teachers of the law did not want a “Savior” who saved them from sin. If Jesus could save from sin, all their moneymaking services, sacrifices, rituals and traditions would be deemed useless. That could not happen! Therefore, they were determined to destroy the “Savior” in order to keep their own made-up “savior”: the church system.

Our churches, pastors and denominations of today are doing the very same thing. They do not want you going to Jesus for your “salvation” from sin. No, they want you going to them in their churches and denominations. They are telling you that Jesus will purify the church and all you have to do is sit in a church pew. They want to be your “salvation”. They are destroying the “soap” of Jesus with their “antisoap”: “Saved by Grace”, “Unconditional Love of God”, “Jesus saves us eternally”, “Just believe” and “Just have faith”. The pride, ego and wealth you offer the churches by going to them is all sin and “antichrist”. You have put your pastor, church and denomination “in place of” Jesus as your “savior” from sin. Therefore, you live in sin and refuse to obey Jesus when He commands you to be perfect, stop sinning and to keep the Ten Commandments to get your eternal life. You are refusing to believe Jesus in order to believe your pastor, church or denomination.
John 12:37 to John 14:31

Although he had performed numerous signs in their presence, they did not believe in him, so that what the prophet Isaiah spoke might be fulfilled when he said: “Lord, who has believed our message, and to whom has the Lord’s power been revealed?”  This is why they could not believe: Isaiah also said, “He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, so that they might not perceive with their eyes, and understand with their mind and turn, and I would heal them.” Isaiah said this when he saw his glory and spoke about him.

If I shine a bright light into your eyes, after you have been in the dark for a few hours, the light blinds you. So, in a sense, God “has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts”. The Light of truth from God is not wanted by the dark churches. They close their eyes to it and refuse to perceive it with their hearts. Therefore, they refuse to look to God in order for God to heal them.

You must understand, these “blind eyes” were not “atheists”, “agnostics”, “skeptics”, “pagans” or “unbelievers”. They were tithe-paying, church-going, Sabbath-keepers whom God designated as “blind”. Today they would be known as Seventh-day Adventists, Church of God - Seventh-day, 7th Day Church of God and over 560 other organizations, churches and denominations that go to church on the 7th day: Sabbath. This includes, Jews, Baptists, Pentecostals, Lutherans and more. But today, this day, the days we are living in, the days of the Laodicean church of Revelation, they are all “blind”. Why? Because they refuse to go to Jesus and obey Him. Like the Jews of Christ’s day, we are going to church instead of going to Jesus. God did not tell one person to go to “church”. He did not tell one person to build a “church”. He did not tell one person to start a “denomination”. What He did command was, “Come unto Me”. And yet, they refuse to go to Him in obedience to His commands to stop sinning, be perfect and to keep the Ten Commandments to get your eternal life.

It doesn’t matter what the name of your church, group or denomination is. All churches today, according to Revelation, are whores of Babylon. All organized religions are copies, to some degree, of the Church of Rome. The devil is very pleased when you sit in church. He knows you will go to sleep and feel very secure doing nothing for God. Going to church does not please God. Giving God’s money to your church is the same as giving it to a Catholic organization or system. It does not please God. God has laid down very specific criterion for who His money is to go to. It doesn’t matter what “name” your organization or church has or what day it goes to church on. What matters is what character you have. Do you have the character and message of Jesus who was perfect, sinless and obedient to the Ten Commandments?

Yet many people, even some of the authorities, believed in him, but because of the Pharisees they did not admit it so they would not be thrown out of the synagogue.  For they loved the praise of human beings more than the praise of God.

I am sure there are many in churches who would come out if others had the backbone to stand up and lead the way. In the judgement, when church members stand before the throne of God waiting to be burned up, they will be held responsible for the timid who followed their example by staying in a sinking church. They loved the praise of human beings more than the praise of God. People are afraid to speak up and teach the truth of Jesus in their church that they must stop sinning, be perfect and keep the Ten Commandments to get their eternal life. They are afraid they may be thrown out of the church. How sad. The praise of man is more important than the praise of God.

Then Jesus said loudly, “The one who believes in me does not believe in me only, but also in the one who sent me.  The one who sees me sees the one who sent me.

Are you speaking “loudly” in your church? The devil has so brainwashed our churches, they have truly forgotten that it is the Father’s duty to destroy all sin and sinners. It is only the atonement of Jesus that is preventing the Father from destroying this planet and all sinners at this time. But if we refuse to believe in Jesus, listening to the message He brought from the Father, and living in obedience to it, as Jesus did, we will be burned up. And it doesn’t matter what church you go to, who your pastor is or what denomination you belong to. None of that will get you into Heaven. Only character will be going to Heaven. If you have not changed your life by living as Jesus commands, you have no eternal life.

And let me make this very plain. Sitting around watching or listening or talking about conspiracy theories, about this church or that church, this leader or government official, none of that will get you into heaven. All of that “gossip” is sinful. It is taking your eyes off of Jesus and putting them on man. That is right where the devil wants your eyes. Take them off of your church, the Catholic Church, the conspiracy theories and all the rest of the entertainment that is taking up your time, and go to Jesus. Spend those hours learning what pleases Jesus and obey Him.

I have come into the world as light, so that everyone who believes in me will not remain in the darkness.

To “believe” in Jesus is not to sit in church singing praises to His name or believing in some Bible doctrines. The devil knows all the Bible doctrines and he will not be in heaven. There will be pagans in heaven who know nothing of Bible doctrine. Why will they be in heaven? Because they lived the Ten Commandments in their lives as best they knew how, even though they were never taught them. Your church is not the “Light”.

Only Jesus is the “Light”. His words are the rays of His Light that are shining out. But if you are hiding those “rays” of His Light, you will be destroyed. You must take those “rays of Light” and put them into your heart so that you will not sin against God. You must get out of your dark church by taking hold of His “rays” of Light and walk in obedience to them. Then you must let those “rays” of Light shine out to those around you. You must speak them to others.

It may be “fun” going to your church. Your church may bring you “ecstacy” and lots of “warm” feelings. But none of that has anything to do with getting into heaven. Going to your church may bring you joy and lots of social comfort, but that is not what Jesus said to do. Jesus said to stop sinning, be perfect and to keep the Ten Commandments to get your eternal life. Are you doing that?

If anyone hears my words and does not keep them, I do not condemn him, because I did not come to condemn the world but to save it.  The one who rejects me and does not receive my words has something to judge him: The word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day, because I have not spoken on my own authority. Instead, the Father who sent me has himself commanded me what to say and how to speak.

I don’t understand why we refused to believe Jesus. I don’t understand why we believe our pastors, churches and denominations while slapping Jesus in the face. He is so plain, if you “hear my words” and don’t keep them, the “word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day.” Get it? If you sit in church hearing the words of Jesus to stop sinning, be perfect and to keep the Ten Commandments to get your eternal life and do not obey them, those very words will judge you on the last day and you will be destroyed. If you are reading those words of Jesus now, in this newsletter, and not putting them into practice, you are condemning yourself. Maybe that is why you do not hear them. The churches are afraid to teach them to you. You might not like them and leave the church taking your money with you in search of a church who will tell you what you want to hear. You might even ask to be removed from our mailing list so you don’t have to hear them again. Closing off your ears can be very comforting. But it is very deadly.

And I know that what he commands brings eternal life. What I speak, therefore, I speak just as the Father has told me.”

No wonder the pastors, churches and denomination teach from every part of the Bible except the teachings of Jesus. They love Paul. The more confusing Paul is, the better it is. They love to twist and turn Paul to make him say what they want him to say. But Paul is not your God. Paul is not your saviour. Paul cannot get one person into heaven. Only those who are obedient to Jesus will be in heaven. If your pastor, church or denomination uses Paul in any way that makes it sound like he is disagreeing with Jesus, get out now. Listen to 2 Peter 3:16. “Paul talks about these same things in all his letters, but part of what he says is hard to understand. Some ignorant and unsteady people even destroy themselves by twisting what he said. They do the same thing with other Scriptures too”. All churches, pastors and denominations fall into that verse.

Now before the Passover Festival, Jesus realized that his hour had come to leave this world and return to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.

Your pastor, church or denomination may talk about “love”, but they do not love you any more than the satanic demons speaking through them love you. If they loved you they would be telling you truth, the truth as Jesus taught it: to stop sinning, be perfect and to keep the Ten Commandments to get your eternal life. Jesus loved us so much He told us the truth even though it meant He would have to die for it. He loved us “to the end”. Are you following His example?

By supper time, the devil had already put it into the heart of Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, to betray him.

If you speak truth, you will be betrayed. Only a few will be saved. Only a few are listening to and obeying the teachings of Jesus. All the rest are going to church. The church-going people will hate you, persecute you and say all manner of evil against you. I get it all the time from church-going people. Our worst enemies will be church-going people and especially those who go to church on “Sabbath”. Only those who love Jesus love this ministry and the truth of Jesus we share.

Because Jesus knew that the Father had given everything into his control, that he had come from God, and that he was returning to God, therefore he got up from the table, removed his outer robe, and took a towel and fastened it around his waist.  Then he poured some water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to dry them with the towel that was tied around his waist.

True Christianity isn’t sitting in church. True Christianity is serving others. Getting out of your church and bringing the water of life to those who have “dirty feet”. You are to humble yourself and wash sinners with the water of Life so they can be clean in Jesus. You may have to take off your expensive clothing and put on dirty work clothes. You may have to take off your expensive shoes and put on boots to work in. You may have to go to “that” neighborhood and get a few dents in your car, but that is what Jesus did. How many “sinners” have you washed with the Water of Life today?

Then he came to Simon Peter, who asked him, “Lord, are you going to wash my feet?”

Peter was not into “humility”. He had a big mouth that went right along with his big ego. If Jesus was to be crowned king, how dare He act the part of a servant. Peter did not want Jesus humiliating the “church” with his actions.

Jesus answered him, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later on you will understand.”  Peter told him, “You must never wash my feet!”

I do not know of any churches that have a true, pure foot washing service. It is all a show. We really don’t want to humble ourselves and confess our sins to each other. To bow before those who hurt us and forgive them is way too humbling. Even worse is to admit we have hurt others and humbly repent to them. But Jesus bowed before Peter and forgave him in advance for the denial he was soon to partake in.

Jesus answered him, “Unless I wash you, you cannot be involved with me.”

“Unless I wash you”. No church, no pastor, no denomination can get you into heaven. Unless you humble yourself and let Jesus wash you with His “Living Water”, “you cannot be involved” with Him. You must let go of all that pride and arrogance that thinks that God loves you and will save you for going to church and continuing in your sins. You must recognize that you will be lost unless you live in strict obedience to Jesus and His Living Words: stop sinning, be perfect and keep the Ten Commandments to get your eternal life.

Simon Peter told him, “Lord, not just my feet, but my hands and my head as well!”  Jesus told him, “Whoever has bathed is entirely clean. He doesn’t need to wash himself further, except for his feet. And you men are clean, though not all of you.”

Once you leave your church and go to Jesus, that is the same as being “bathed”. When you give up listening to man-made wisdom and church nonsense and give your heart totally to Jesus, then you are clean in Jesus. However, as you walk with Jesus, you may fall, you may skin your knees, you may stumble and inadvertently deny Jesus. But your heart is in the right direction. You are with Jesus and He will bend down, take your dirty feet, your skinned knees and filthy mouth and clean them. But you must be willing to let Him clean them by accepting the reproofs He gives and strive to overcome as you continue to follow Jesus.

For he knew who was going to betray him. That’s why he said, “Not all of you are clean.”

There are many who are “walking” with Jesus who are not clean. They are simply along for the show, the ride, the excitement and the possible “rewards” they think being with Jesus will give them. That is why most are going to church. Be very careful who you walk with. If the members of your church are not striving to put away all sin out of their lives, have nothing to do with them. Go and open your home to those who want to change their lives. Ask for a case of books and use them in your Bible studies and missionary work.

When Jesus had washed their feet and put on his outer robe, he sat down again and told them, “Do you realize what I have done to you? You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right because that is what I am.  So if I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you must also wash one another’s feet.

Not many “realize what I have done to you”. People do not want to follow the example of Jesus. They want to follow their pastor, their church and denomination. After all, they live well, fly around on jets, have fine clothes and drive nice cars. To be like Jesus? Not in your life. I’ll just follow the teachings of my church and pastor to “believe” in Jesus and “poof” I’m saved in my own life as I see fit to live it.

I have set an example for you, so that you may do as I have done to you.

Go ahead, look around your church and ask yourself a very simple question: “Who is following the example of Jesus”? None! If they were they would not be in church. Those “going to church” are all lost. That is why we have been given the commission to call them out. If you don’t call them out, you are responsible for their eternal death. Can you live now, and die eternally later, with that on your conscience?

Truly, I say to you with certainty, a servant is not greater than his master, and a messenger is not greater than the one who sent him.  If you understand these things, how blessed you are if you put them into practice!

The disciples, like church-going people today, were totally brainwashed by their churches. They thought they were “saved” because they were born Jews, or went through certain rituals and ceremonies. They just could not wrap their minds around the concept of actually putting “them into practice”. After all, they looked up to the church leaders and not one of them was living the perfect, sinless and commandment keeping life. So, why should they? They only knew what they had been taught by the church. Therefore, over and over and over again Jesus had to keep hitting the nail on the head. Over and over and over again He had to keep telling them the truth hoping it would sink in. Has it sunk in with you?

I’m not talking about all of you. I know the ones I have chosen. But the Scripture must be fulfilled: ‘The one who ate bread with me has turned against me.’  I’m telling you this now, before it happens, so that when it does happen, you may believe that I AM.  Truly, I tell all of you with certainty, the one who receives whomever I send receives me, and the one who receives me receives the one who sent me.”

About a year earlier Jesus had stated that church people, those who claimed to be “His people”, would wonder why God had rejected them. They would remind God that they had eaten with Him in His “Last Supper” in church, listened to His words in church and went on many church activities. Why was God rejecting them? Because they went to church and not to Jesus. They listened to their church but refused to listen to and obey Jesus. Jesus sent His Holy Spirit to begin this ministry and has sent it into the world. “The one who receives whomever I send receives Me.” However, this ministry is not fancy. This ministry does not play to the egos of wicked people. This ministry does not entertain or have famous “stars” to draw a crowd. No, this ministry just has Jesus and His truth. Those who listen and obey will be saved. Those who receive this ministry receives The One who has sent it.

After saying this, Jesus was deeply troubled in spirit and declared solemnly, “Truly, I tell all of you with certainty, one of you is going to betray me!”

Are you going to betray Jesus? Will you continue to look to your church, your pastor and denomination as Judas did? Since Jesus was not giving him what he wanted, he went to his church and got what he wanted. How about you?

The disciples began looking at one another, completely mystified about whom he was speaking.

The Spirit of God is speaking, yet how many will read this, look around and wonder who it is talking about. It is amazing how church members can be so “completely mystified about whom He was speaking about”. Is He speaking to you?

One of his disciples, the one whom Jesus kept loving, had been sitting very close to him.  So Simon Peter motioned to this man to ask Jesus about whom he was speaking.  Leaning forward on Jesus’ chest, he asked him, “Lord, who is it?”  Jesus answered, “He is the one to whom I will give this piece of bread after I have dipped it in the dish.” Then he took a piece of bread, dipped it, and gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot.  After he had taken the piece of bread, Satan entered him. Then Jesus told him, “Do quickly what you are going to do!”

If your whole heart and soul is not with Jesus, but is divided among the world, church and a bit of reading the Bible, you are betraying Jesus. He must have all of your heart. Every emotion, every thought, every action, every word and feeling must be under the command of Jesus. You must live by “every word” that comes from the mouth of God, not your church. Otherwise you will not understand anything Jesus is saying to you.

Now no one at the table knew why Jesus said this to him.  Some thought that, since Judas had the moneybag, Jesus was telling him to buy what they needed for the festival or to give something to the destitute.  So Judas took the piece of bread, immediately went outside, and it was night.

People look around at those in their churches and see no difference between any of them. They read Scripture, but they look at the church and see no one obeying it. It is all a “joke”. Even those who hold the “moneybag” for the church are not listening to Jesus. They sit in church taking the “bread” from their church, but when they leave the church, it is night in their souls. They have not listened to or partaken of the “body of Christ”. It is all church.

After Judas had gone out, Jesus said, “The Son of Man is now glorified, and God has been glorified by him.  If God has been glorified by him, God himself also will glorify the Son of Man, and he will do so quickly.

Being “glorified” by God is not going to church. It is not putting on an exciting show or entertainment. It is sacrificing everything in your life in order to live in obedience to the “Word” of God. To live as Jesus lived, a self-sacrificing life for the good of others. If you go to church, you are living for your selfishness. Death is your reward.

Little children, I am with you only a little longer. You will look for me, but what I told the Jews I now tell you, ‘Where I am going, you cannot come.’

The mission of Jesus at that time was not the mission of the disciples. Yes, in the future they would follow Jesus in giving up their lives, but tonight, they were not to go where Jesus was going. He needed them for another day. Each of us has our duties and responsibilities. Instead of going to church, we need to be laying our lives at the feet of Jesus daily and asking Him to reveal our duty for that day. Every day, when I wake up and begin my hour of prayer, I ask the Lord to be my scheduler and provider. To lead me and guide me where and when He needs me. I lay before the Lord all our inmates, donors and online community. Those who share with me their trials and lives I share with the Lord for Him to work with and help them. Then I go about my daily duties and activities allowing Jesus to make any changes He deems necessary for His work. I serve Him, not me. I am a pawn on God’s chessboard. I have surrendered my life to be moved or removed as He sees fit. He sees the total game plan. I can hardly see the space in front of me. I have been trusting Him with my life for 26 years.

I am giving you a new commandment to love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another.  This is how everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

How do we love one another? By taking them to church? No! By giving them what they want? No! By entertaining them? No! We love one another by serving them, telling them the truth, doing our duty and serving as Jesus did.

Simon Peter asked him, “Lord, where are you going?” Jesus answered him, “I am going where you cannot follow me now, though you will follow me later on.”  “Lord, why can’t I follow you now?” Peter asked him. “I would lay down my life for you!”  Jesus answered him, “Would you lay down your life for me? Truly, I tell you with certainty, a rooster will not crow until you have denied me three times.”

Peter loved Jesus, but he did not know himself. Many claim to love Jesus, but, like Peter, have not spent enough time living in obedience to Jesus and His every word in order to develop insight into themselves necessary to “know” themselves. God wants to reveal your inmost self to you. He sees you as you are. We see ourselves as we want to see ourselves, not as we truly are. We must, every day, ask the Spirit of God to reveal our defects so we can overcome them before it is too late. Paul told His “son” Timothy to “know thyself”. It is very important to “know thyself”. That self-knowledge can only come through obedience to Jesus.

Peter had a second chance. You may not. When probation closes all lives will be sealed. Those who have developed perfect characters will reap eternal life. Those who neglected to develop perfect characters will be destroyed.

Jesus said to his disciples, “Don’t be worried! Have faith in God and have faith in me.

You are not to have “faith” in your pastor, church or denomination. They are not of God. They will let you down. They are under the control of the ruler of this world. But you do not have to be worried if you will firmly plant your faith in Jesus Christ. In twenty years of serving Him in this ministry, never has He let me down. My faith grows stronger and stronger every day.

There are many rooms in my Father’s house. I wouldn’t tell you this, unless it was true. I am going there to prepare a place for each of you.  After I have done this, I will come back and take you with me. Then we will be together.

Our churches, pastors and denomination only tell us what we want to hear. They don’t put it all together so you know the truth. In order to go “home” with Jesus to the “rooms” He is preparing, you must have faith in Him. You must live as He lived. You must have so much faith in Him that you will live in perfect obedience to every word He has spoken. Otherwise, He is not coming back for you. He is not building “rooms” for you in Heaven.

You know the way to where I am going.”  Thomas said, “Lord, we don’t even know where you are going! How can we know the way?”

Each of us knows the “way to where I am going”. God has made it very plain. The problem is not knowing the way, but being willing to walk on that way. The way is very narrow. It requires a sinless, perfect and commandment keeping life.

“I am the way, the truth, and the life!” Jesus answered. “Without me, no one can go to the Father.

How many times have we heard that phrase from our pastors, churches and denominations? And yet, do you truly believe Jesus is the only “way, the truth, and the life”? If you did, you would be living as He commands, perfect, sinless and commandment keeping as He lived. So, no, you do not believe in Jesus. If you do not have Jesus and His perfect, sinless and commandment keeping life living in you, you cannot “go to the Father”. Jesus didn’t say “Without church”, no, He said, “Without Me.” Are you beginning to see how brainwashed you have become by your church?

If you had known me, you would have known the Father. But from now on, you do know him, and you have seen him.”  Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father. That is all we need.”

If you are reading this you now know the Father and Jesus. You now know the truth of what Jesus and the Father require for you to go to Heaven. You now know the way to that life by following the Ten Commandments as Jesus did for His eternal life. You don’t need church, you don’t need to be “shown” the Father or to be “shown” signs and wonders. You have it all in the words of Jesus: be perfect, stop sinning and keep the Ten Commandments to get your eternal life.

Jesus replied: Philip, I have been with you for a long time. Don’t you know who I am? If you have seen me, you have seen the Father. How can you ask me to show you the Father?

Not once in all of this discourse will you hear Jesus telling the disciples to start a church, build a church or go to church. “If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father”. That is all you need: Jesus. Look to Jesus. Put your whole life into the hands of Jesus. Get out of your church and stop dividing your affections. Give them all to Jesus and watch the glory of God in your life.

Don’t you believe that I am one with the Father and that the Father is one with me? What I say isn’t said on my own. The Father who lives in me does these things.

It was the Father living in Jesus. How was the Father living in Jesus? Jesus took the words of His Father and put them into His heart and obeyed them. It wasn’t church living in Jesus. It wasn’t His pastor or denomination living in Him. You can only have Jesus living inside of you if you kick church out and put Jesus in its place.

Have faith in me when I say that the Father is one with me and that I am one with the Father. Or else have faith in me simply because of the things I do.  I tell you for certain that if you have faith in me, you will do the same things that I am doing. You will do even greater things, now that I am going back to the Father.

You are to have faith in Jesus, not your church, pastor or denomination. People say I have “hate” for churches. Well, my Bible tells me to hate wickedness. If your pastor, church or denomination are not teaching the teachings of Jesus to stop sinning, be perfect and to keep the Ten Commandments to get your eternal life, they are wicked. (2 John 1:8-11). Do you love wickedness? I don’t. I hate anything that comes between me and Jesus. Are you making friendships with the worldly churches, or are you hating sin and getting out of them? If you get out of them and go to Jesus, living in obedience to every word Jesus has spoken, you may:

Ask me, and I will do whatever you ask. This way the Son will bring honor to the Father.  I will do whatever you ask me to do.

Fools run around claiming that Jesus will do whatever is asked of Him. They take this text out of context and try to convince people to “just ask” and when their prayers are not answered, they come up with all kinds of excuses: “You did not have enough faith. You did not try hard enough. God answered it with ‘NO’”. And so it goes, everyone trying to find an “excuse” why God does not fulfill His own promise. But the fault is not with God or His promise. He does whatever I ask of Him. Why? Because I fulfill the conditions so He can fulfill His promise.

Jesus said to his disciples: If you love me, you will do as I command.

And there it is. So easy. Just show your love to Jesus by doing as He commanded you. He didn’t command you to go to church. He commanded you to live the sinless, perfect and commandment keeping life and all your prayers will be answered. I told my sister to read the book, “Change Your Life Biblically” and obey it and she would be healed. She refused and is dying. She became sick after she rejected the book. Her pride and ego will destroy her. Her church is her god. Will you let your pride and ego destroy you? Read the book, be obedient and: Then I will ask the Father to send you the Holy Spirit who will help you and always be with you.

That has been true in my life. I am a witness to the promises of God. I testify to His truth. Will you listen? God sent His Spirit to dictated and direct the book, “Change Your Life Biblically”. In that book He is showing what is truth.

The Spirit will show you what is true. The people of this world cannot accept the Spirit, because they don’t see or know him. But you know the Spirit, who is with you and will keep on living in you.

Jesus wants a “One-on-one” experience with you. He talks to me, works with me, guides me and is my best Friend. He wants to be yours. But you must let go of church and the world and give your heart totally to Him. Going to Jesus must be your greatest desire.

I won’t leave you like orphans. I will come back to you.

Since He sent me to prison in 1991, He has never left me as an orphan. He has always been with me. I crave His presence. I spend hours talking to Him each day. I take Him with me all day long. I lay all my plans, all day long, at His feet to approve and change as He sees fit. I don’t care what the church or the denomination or the pastor or the world says or thinks. I follow Jesus.

I have a pit bull named Duke. He loves going into town with me. He knows the time and the activities that I do just before going into town. It doesn’t matter who is here, what they offer him or what temptation may present itself to him, he will not be any farther away from me than about 12 inches in order to make sure he gets into the car with me. He knows who has the keys to the car and who does the driving.

And yet, even though Jesus is the only One who has the keys to the car that is going to Heaven, why is it we follow the church, pastor or denomination when they cannot drive us into heaven?

In a little while the people of this world won’t be able to see me, but you will see me. And because I live, you will live.

The world and the churches are not able to see Jesus. They are so full of themselves they are unable to see Jesus. They are so busy listening to themselves they cannot hear the voice of Jesus. But if you will look to Jesus, listening to Him and living in obedience to Him, because He lives, you also will live.

Then you will know that I am one with the Father. You will know that you are one with me, and I am one with you.

Can two walk together unless they be agreed? That is why Jesus and the Father are “one”. They are agreed on every point. Jesus lived in perfect submission to His Father’s will. They were “one” in every aspect of their lives. In order for us to get to Heaven, we also must live as “one” with Jesus. Living with your church, denomination or pastor will not get you into heaven. There is no unity in your church. That is why Jesus is not in your church or denomination.

If you love me, you will do what I have said, and my Father will love you. I will also love you and show you what I am like.

Not once in all of this does Jesus talk about church, going to church or listening to your church or pastor. If you love Jesus, “you will do what I have said”. Why don’t you obey Jesus? He wants to show you “what I am like”. But if you are in church, listening to your pastor or reading the denominational “Review”, or watching 3ABN, you will never be shown what Jesus is like.

The other Judas, not Judas Iscariot, then spoke up and asked, “Lord, what do you mean by saying that you will show us what you are like, but you will not show the people of this world?”

Jesus is revealing Himself to me more and more each day. I treasure His presence and what He is showing me. You can also have that experience. But to do that, you must live as Jesus commands. You must obey Him and not your church.

Jesus replied: If anyone loves me, they will obey me. Then my Father will love them, and we will come to them and live in them.

Are you obeying Jesus by living as He commands: perfect, sinless and commandment keeping? Going to church will not get you any closer to heaven than going to a rock concert or a bar. Sorry, actually, going to the rock concert and bar will get you closer to heaven, if you are sharing Jesus with them. People run around claiming to “love” Jesus. Have you heard them in your church? But are they obeying Jesus by living as He commands: perfect, sinless and commandment keeping? No, they are not. It is all a show. They stand up in front of the church and make a show of “loving” Jesus. But their lives are not in obedience to Him. “If anyone loves me, they will obey me”.

But anyone who doesn’t love me, won’t obey me. What they have heard me say doesn’t really come from me, but from the Father who sent me.

If you are not obeying Jesus, you don’t love Him. God doesn’t care how much church-going you do or what day you go to church on or how much money you put into the church, you are not loving Jesus unless you are living according to His words. Everything else is just Catholic.

I have told you these things while I am still with you.  But the Holy Spirit will come and help you, because the Father will send the Spirit to take my place. The Spirit will teach you everything and will remind you of what I said while I was with you.

We go to church, listen to our pastors and denominational material, but who is listening to the Spirit of God? He wants to speak to you, personally, as He has done and is doing with me. You don’t need a church or pastor or denomination to teach you your duty. That would be “Catholicism”. That is why all churches are the “prostitutes” of Babylon. They take the place of the Spirit of God. The “prostitutes” are not reminding you of what Jesus said. Jesus said to be perfect, stop sinning and to keep the Ten Commandments to get your eternal life. If you were listening to the Spirit of God instead of to your pastor, church or denomination, you would be hearing what Jesus taught and living in obedience to Him. Anyone who points you to “church” is a Catholic agent, standing in the place of Jesus. It doesn’t matter what church he belongs to, what church he points you to, what name he goes by or how “nice” he is. He belongs to the devil and is taking you to hell. Go to Jesus and learn from Him.

I give you peace, the kind of peace that only I can give. It isn’t like the peace that this world can give. So don’t be worried or afraid.

Are you afraid to go to Jesus? He loves you. Yes, He will point out your sins, but He will give you the power to live the sinless and perfect life. If you are going to church because it is easier, be assured, you have no eternal life.

You have already heard me say that I am going and that I will also come back to you. If you really love me, you should be glad that I am going back to the Father, because he is greater than I am.  I am telling you this before I leave, so that when it does happen, you will have faith in me.  I cannot speak with you much longer, because the ruler of this world is coming. But he has no power over me.  I obey my Father, so that everyone in the world might know that I love him. It is time for us to go now.

Who do you love? Jesus showed His love for His Father by living in obedience to Him. Who are you obeying? Where do you go on Sabbath? To church or to Jesus? To listen to a man spout hot air that has nothing to do with changing your life, or to Jesus, listening to Him tell you what you must do for your eternal life? So few will be saved. Please, lay down your pride, ego and arrogance and listen to what the Spirit is saying to you right now. Accept the teachings of Jesus and come out of her, your church, and live for Jesus. He is the only one with the keys to Heaven.

Prison Mission Report

Dear Brother Ron,
I would like to thank you for your lessons. Without those studies, I most likely would have still been confused. Yes, ever since I’ve read your book, I’ve had a desire to serve and love God more and more. It felt like I was getting to know Him more than I ever did before. Thanks.
Emmanuel, FL

Dear Brother Ron,
I am sorry it has taken so long to write. Thank you very much for the material you so faithfully send. I am enjoying all over again your comments on the book of Galatians. You really work with the Holy Spirit in bringing alive the Scriptures and the explanations in simple terms. I’m also sharing these materials with my buddy. We are in an open bay dorm here in Florida.
Cameron, FL

Dear Ron,
I received your letter the other day and I started in on the studies right away. I have read the book through twice and went back and forth with the studies. I still can’t believe I am just now learning what it means to be a Christian. The 1, 2, 3 to salvation you teach is great. I’ve never been taught this when I first became a Christian at the age of 18. After I was “saved” this guy said, now read your Bible and you will be all right. As you know, I never realized that I was to be perfect. I did not pay any attention to the Old Testament, let alone God’s 10 Commandments or the Saturday Sabbath. It was not until your book that the light finally came on. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I now know what God expects and how to live a proper Christian life and how to follow Jesus as He intended. I realize now how dangerous some Christians can be. I know they mean well, but out of their own ignorance and lack of knowledge, they lead someone to Christ and then abandon them to work out their own salvation. It’s like a woman giving birth to a baby, then saying, OK now you are on your own. We need more people like you in this sorry, mixed-up world. I’ve managed to get a couple of flyers to a few people. They have been bit by the Sunday Christians, so a lot are wary. I’m very aware that I’m being looked at so I keep my conduct always in proper form.
Thomas, FL

Hello,
I am in prison for the next 10 years. I was going through the Bible study shelf and came across your Bible study. But the paper isn’t all there so I’m asking you to please send it to me so I can get started in it.
Stephen, CA

Brother Ron,
I recently received your study of the Word. I am loving it. Thank you so much for being all you can be in Jesus. I am learning so much from your presentation of the Word of God. I am 64 years old and I love Jesus. He has never let me down, even though I am so unworthy. Thanks to you, I’m learning more than ever. Also, my bunkie would like one of your studies. We’ve been sharing mine.
Jodie, CA

Ron,
I write you this letter to thank you for what you have sent me. It gives me a better understanding and clarity on the body of Christ in which John speaks of. I find myself agreeing with you that it’s not about the churches that we attend, it is about we as the church. If there is no “us” in the church, there is no church. Specially if the body of the church is not of Jesus, His commandments, the truth and His way as sinless lives. We must see our life and walk it like Jesus.
David, CA

JCPM,
I am getting in contact with you to request religious material. Thank you for your time.
Anthony, NJ

Hello,
I need a change in my life style. Now with me finding the Word of God, I see life a lot different. I used to be a known gang member from my neighborhood. I’ve been in prison for fourteen years and I’m really trying to change my life. I look forward from all the good I hear about your program.
Juanita, NM

Dear Sir,
I was told that I could write to you and receive a “Change Your Life Biblically” workbook for free. If this is true, could I please be placed on your mailing list.
Scott, TX

Dear Brother Ron,
The reading of “2nd Peter’s 8 Steps” was so rewarding. It ensured me that the steps that I’m taking in Christ will keep me right in heart and pleasing to Him.
Darren, NY

Hello,
My name is Luis. I am detained by ICE. I received your book and wanted to write back just to say, “Thank you”. And that God blesses you even more. Thanks to your book, I understand the Bible more. I think that if they give me a 3rd chance at staying in this country, I will do better in life. I am 21 years old and have been incarcerated half my life. My mother brought me here to this country in search of a better life. I didn’t know how to take advantage of it. Thanks a lot for your book.
Luis, CA

To Whom It May Concern,
I was wondering if I may receive literature that may comfort me. I’m going through a lot. Another inmate gave me your address that has been really helped by your services. I’m ready for a change.
Traci, IN

Hey,
I love the book. I would want my own. I had the chance to read some of it. It is very good. I want to finish the book. I would be so grateful if I could get my own book.
Eugene, CA

Dear Brother Ron,
Again, has anybody told you they loved you today? Well, put my name on that list. Enclosed are ten stamps. I’d like to tithe towards your ministry. I was extremely blessed by God with a couple of books of stamps and I know your work needs support to carry out God’s plan to save the world. I really enjoyed your last newsletter. I totally get your message about the dangers of the church. I’ve come to believe that denominationalism is a sin. The New Testament clearly calls for unity in its members as well as within the community. It just doesn’t exist anymore. So, for me, I will call Bible studies “church”. Every time I get to talk to somebody I try and fit Jesus into the conversation. I’ve been led to believe I’m a “watchman”. Please know that not a day goes by that I don’t pray for you and your ministry. I know you get persecuted and ridiculed. But as you already know - Luke 6:22-23. You can’t imagine how difficult it is to talk to others in my wing. I don’t know if you remember but I’m on an Ad-Seg lockdown wing. We get “rec” twice a week where we are locked in a “dog kennel” side by side so I never know who they will put next to me. I pray it is someone God specifically wants me next to, which is always the case. I always explain your ministry and tell them the amount of “true knowledge” I’ve gained from your book. Please know, I have to smuggle your flyers onto the “Rec” cages as we are not allowed to bring anything with us or to pass things between each other. But God always finds a way for me to get your flyers across to my fellow inmates. Well my friend, I look forward to hearing how you are doing.
Thomas, FL

Hi,
Could you please send me “Change Your Life Biblically”? I’m trying to change my life and walk with God. I just read a bit of the book and would really like to receive my own copy with a bookmarker.
Morris, CA

Dear Brother Ronald,
I do thank you for these studies. I have learned so, so much. The 7th day Sabbath, Saturday, I’ve been studying this too. I can’t find where anyone, other than the Catholic Church, changed it to Sunday, either. You know, studying this study is what opened my eyes and showed me I was truly worthy of God’s love and the gift of eternal life. After my rape, the drinking, drugs, all the wrong I did, and being so down on myself, I never really put it in God’s hands and let Him deal with it till I was about 1/3 of the way through the study. It’s true, I read something that hit me hard. I cried for weeks. People in group therapy and Victims Impact, thought I was losing my mind, I think. Boy, I let it all out. But I’ve healed so much. I truly feel like I am on the right track for a change. I cannot thank you enough. Truly, I thank you so very much. My life is changing every day. I feel so much better.
Karen, TN

Dear Ronald,
The big “Thank you” sir, belongs to you! Your book will open many eyes to last day truths. And what you are doing for inmates is a ministry much needed. May God bless your efforts in the winning of inmates to God’s family and kingdom. Maybe if I’m lucky, if I can win back my freedom, I’ll have an opportunity to meet you someday. But if not on this earth, then at Christ’s Second Coming. One way or another, I owe you a BIG HUG!
John, OH

Hello,
I have a friend that showed me your book, “Change Your Life Biblically”. I am very interested in having my own so I ask you if you can please bless me with my own “Change Your Life Biblically”. I very much thank you for your time and God bless you.
Sergio, CA

Testimony for God's People

My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Very few understand “True Conversion”. We have been brainwashed into thinking that “going to church” or “believing” in Christ shows our “conversion”. It doesn’t. The following information from the modern-day prophet of God will help you to understand what “True Conversion” is so you may begin changing your life.

True Conversion

Dear Brother (Christian),

While at (church) one year ago, we labored for your interest. I had been shown your dangers, and we were desirous of saving you; but we see you have not had strength to carry out the resolutions there made. I am troubled over the matter, and fear that I was not as faithful as I should have been in bringing before you all I knew of your case. Some things I withheld from you. While in Battle Creek in June, I was again shown that you were not making any advance, and that the reason you were not is that you have not made a clean track behind you. You do not enjoy religion. You have departed from God and righteousness. You have been seeking happiness in the wrong way, in forbidden pleasures; and you have not moral courage to confess and forsake your sins that you may find mercy.

You did not view sin as heinous in the sight of God, and put it away; you failed to make thorough work; and when the enemy came in with his temptations, you did not resist him. Had you seen how offensive sin was in the sight of God, you would not have so readily yielded to temptation. You were not so thoroughly converted as to abhor your life of sin and folly. Sin yet seemed pleasant to you, and you were loath to yield up its delusive pleasures. Your inmost soul was not converted, and you soon lost that which you had gained.

Today, right now, sin is going to church. Sin is disobedience to truth. The truth now, the words of Jesus now, is to get out of churches. They have all fallen. They are no longer teaching the teachings of Jesus to stop sinning, to be perfect and to keep the Ten Commandments to get your eternal life. Sin is not held up to be as heinous as it should be. The churches make light of sin. God abhors it. Get out of your church now. Going to church today has become a personal vanity, fashionable and makes us feel good accepting the “love of praise” from our church family.

Personal vanity in your case, as well as in that of many others, has been a special hindrance to you. You have ever had a love of praise. This has been a snare to you. Your professed friends have shown a special pleasure in your society, and this has gratified you. Weak-minded, sympathetic women have praised you and appeared charmed with your society; and you have felt a fascinating power upon you in their company. You did not realize, while spending in pleasure seeking those hours which belonged to your family, that Satan was weaving his net about your feet.

So many go to church to be praised and charmed by the society of church. It has a fascinating power over them. They spend hours in church when they should be home with the family directing the eyes of the family to Jesus.

Satan has temptations laid for every step of your life. You have not been as economical of means as you should have been. You hate stinginess. This is all right; but you go to the opposite extreme, and your course has been marked with prodigality. Christ taught His disciples a lesson in feeding the five thousand. He wrought a great miracle and fed that vast multitude with five loaves and two small fishes. After all had been satisfied, He did not then regard the fragments indifferently, as if it were beneath His dignity to notice them. He who had power to work so notable a miracle, and to give food to so large a company, said to His disciples: “Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.” This is a lesson to us all, and one which we should not disregard.

You have a great work before you, and you cannot afford to waste another moment without taking hold of it. Brother (Christian), I am alarmed for you; but I know that God loves you still, although your course has been wayward. If He did not have a special love for you He would not present your dangers before me as He has. You have engaged in jesting and sporting with men and women who have not the fear of God before them. Weak-headed and unprincipled women have retained you in their presence, and you were like a charmed bird. You seemed fascinated by these superficial persons. Angels of God were upon your track and have faithfully recorded every wrong act, every instance of departure from virtue’s path.

Yes, every act, however secret you may have thought you were in its committal, has been open to God, to Christ, and to the holy angels. A book is written of all the doings of the children of men. Not an item of this record can be concealed. There is only one provision made for the transgressor. Faithful repentance and confession of sin, and faith in the cleansing blood of Christ, will bring forgiveness, and pardon will be written against his name.

Nothing there about going to church. Nothing there about listening to your pastor. Nothing there about belonging to a denomination. Unless you get out of your church and turn to Jesus, living in repentance and confession of sin, through obedience to the commands of Jesus, you have no eternal life. The person this admonition is given to was a church member. He thought he was “saved” because he went to church on the Sabbath. But his Sabbath-keeping church had been unfaithful to Jesus and was not teaching him to stop sinning, be perfect and to keep the Ten Commandments to get his eternal life. Therefore, God had to step in and present his lost case through His prophet.

That is what God has had to do through this ministry. The churches today are unfaithful to Jesus and refuse to teach His teachings to the people. Therefore, God has had to send His Spirit through this ministry to reach your heart with the truth. He is waiting to see if you will come into unison with His truth. Will you listen?

O my brother (Christian), had you made thorough work one year ago, the past precious year need not have been to you worse than a blank. You knew your Master’s will, but did it not. You are in a perilous condition. Your sensibilities have been blunted to spiritual things; you have a violated conscience. Your influence is not to gather, but to scatter. You have no special interest in religious exercises. You are not a happy man. Your wife would unite her interest with the people of God if you would get out of her way. She needs your help. Will you take hold of this work together?

How many would unite with God’s people if they could see “God’s people”. But the lives of those who go to church turn them off and they want nothing to do with “Christians”. The lives of those who go to church are worse than those who don’t. The pretense and hypocrisy make the world sick of “Christianity”. Will you get out of church, go to Jesus, live as He commands, and show to the world what “God’s people” are truly to be.

Last June I saw that your only hope of breaking the chain of your bondage was a removal from your associates. You had yielded to Satan’s temptations until you were a weak man. You were a lover of pleasure more than a lover of God, and were fast traveling the downward path. I have been disappointed that you have continued in the same indifferent state in which you have been for years. You have known and experienced the love of God; and it has been your delight to do His will. You have delighted in the study of the word of God. You have been punctual at the prayer meetings. Your testimony has been from a heart which felt the quickening influences of the love of Christ. But you have lost your first love.

Unfortunately, going to church, going to prayer meetings and other church activities will not save you. They are of no benefit to you if you are not living the sinless, perfect and commandment keeping life. On the other hand, going can make you feel “secure in your salvation” while you are walking in darkness and sin. Get out of your church, go home and turn to the Lord with all your heart and learn from Him.

God now calls upon you to repent, to be zealous in the work. Your eternal happiness will be determined by the course you now pursue. Can you reject the invitations of mercy now offered? Can you choose your own way? Will you cherish pride and vanity, and lose your soul at last? The word of God plainly tells us that few will be saved, and that the greater number of those, even, who are called will prove themselves unworthy of everlasting life. They will have no part in heaven, but will have their portion with Satan, and experience the second death.

Few will be saved. Are you “zealous” for the work of God in your life? Are you putting sin out of your life? Or are you busy with church while living in sin? If you continue to reject the invitations of mercy that are now being offered to you, you cannot see the kingdom of God. Going to church is choosing your own way. The pride you have in your church will bring about your eternal death. Those who go to church without putting an end to all sin in their lives “prove themselves unworthy of everlasting life”. Please, I beg of those who are still wasting their lives going to church, you must wake up, get out now before you “have no part in heaven”.

Our total commitment is to be found in Jesus and Jesus only. Learning about His life of perfection is our only duty. We are to study His life to see how He resisted temptation and came off victorious. That can’t be done sitting in church looking at sinful, fallen man. Listening to fallen men talk about “saved by grace” and the “unconditional love of God” will only bring you down to their sinful level. Lift your eyes. Lift your thoughts. Behold the glorious truth that you can live without sin, victorious over temptation and fully obedient to the Ten Commandments.

Men and women may escape this doom if they will. It is true that Satan is the great originator of sin; yet this does not excuse any man for sinning; for he cannot force men to do evil. He tempts them to it, and makes sin look enticing and pleasant; but he has to leave it to their own wills whether they will do it or not. He does not force men to become intoxicated, neither does he force them to remain away from religious meetings; but he presents temptations in a manner to allure to evil, and man is a free moral agent to accept or refuse.

Back when this was written, in the late 1800’s, the “religious meetings” taught people to live in obedience. They pleaded with people to change their lives and be obedient to the Ten Commandments. Today, “religious meetings” are nothing but entertainment centers and must be avoided like the plague. Satan is presenting temptations in all manner of areas of life, including church. The only safety we have is living in obedience to the commands of Jesus. You are a free moral agent and must make the discission for yourself. Do not give your salvation to your church.

Conversion is a work that most do not appreciate. It is not a small matter to transform an earthly, sin-loving mind and bring it to understand the unspeakable love of Christ, the charms of His grace, and the excellency of God, so that the soul shall be imbued with divine love and captivated with the heavenly mysteries. When he understands these things, his former life appears disgusting and hateful. He hates sin, and, breaking his heart before God, he embraces Christ as the life and joy of the soul. He renounces his former pleasures. He has a new mind, new affections, new interest, new will; his sorrows, and desires, and love are all new. The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye, and the pride of life, which have heretofore been preferred before Christ, are now turned from, and Christ is the charm of his life, the crown of his rejoicing. Heaven, which once possessed no charms, is now viewed in its riches and glory; and he contemplates it as his future home, where he shall see, love, and praise the One who hath redeemed him by His precious blood.

Today, people don’t “renounce sin”, they go to church in their sins and feel perfectly safe in doing so because their church teaches them they can’t live without sin. Instead of turning away from sin, we turn to church to absolve our sinful lives. Since we sinners are accepted in our sin by the churches, we love our churches. If you do not get out, you will be destroyed. The whole church system is Catholic. It was developed by Satan for the purpose of destroying your life. Churches are the “prostitutes” of the great whore of Revelation. If you continue to “prostitute” yourself to your church, you will be lost eternally.

The works of holiness, which appeared wearisome, are now his delight. The word of God, which was dull and uninteresting, is now chosen as his study, the man of his counsel. It is as a letter written to him from God, bearing the inscription of the Eternal. His thoughts, his words, and his deeds are brought to this rule and tested. He trembles at the commands and threatenings which it contains, while he firmly grasps its promises and strengthens his soul by appropriating them to himself. The society of the most godly is now chosen by him, and the wicked, whose company he once loved, he no longer delights in. He weeps over those sins in them at which he once laughed. Self-love and vanity are renounced, and he lives unto God, and is rich in good works. This is the sanctification which God requires. Nothing short of this will He accept.

If you are loving the sinful company of your church, you are lost. You must get out and find those who are seeking a higher calling. We can no longer delight in church and those who continue in sin. We must renounce them and find those whose delights are to live in perfect conformity to God’s Ten Commandments.

I beg of you, my brother (Christian), to search your heart diligently and inquire: “What road am I traveling, and where will it end?” You have reason to rejoice that your life has not been cut off while you have no certain hope of eternal life. God forbid that you should longer neglect this work, and so perish in your sins. Do not flatter your soul with false hopes. You see no way to get hold again but one so humble that you cannot consent to accept it. Christ presents to you, even to you, my erring brother (Christian), a message of mercy: “Come; for all things are now ready.” God is ready to accept you and to pardon all your transgressions, if you will but come. Though you have been a prodigal, and have separated from God and stayed away from Him so long, He will meet you even now. Yes; the Majesty of heaven invites you to come to Him, that you may have life. Christ is ready to cleanse you from sin when you lay hold upon Him. What profit have you found in serving sin? what profit in serving the flesh and the devil? Is it not poor wages you receive? Oh! turn ye, turn ye; for why will ye die?

You have served the church far too long, my dear brothers and sisters. Turn ye, turn ye away and return to Jesus who is ready to accept you into His arms. “The Majesty of heaven invites you to come to Him, that you may have life.” Going to church will only bring you death. Going to church is only producing “false hope”.

You have had many convictions, many pangs of conscience. You have had so many purposes and made so many promises, and yet you linger and will not come to Christ that you may have life. Oh, that your heart may be impressed with a sense of this time, that you may now turn and live! Cannot you hear the voice of the True Shepherd in this message? How can you disobey? Trifle not with God, lest He leave you to your own crooked ways. It is life or death with you. Which will you choose? It is a fearful thing to contend with God and resist His pleadings. You may have the love of God burning upon the altar of your heart as you once felt it. You may commune with God as you have done in times past. If you will make a clean track behind you you may again experience the riches of His grace, and your countenance again express His love.

It is not required of you to confess to those who know not your sin and errors. It is not your duty to publish a confession which will lead unbelievers to triumph; but to those to whom it is proper, who will take no advantage of your wrong, confess according to the word of God, and let them pray for you, and God will accept your work, and will heal you. For your soul’s sake, be entreated to make thorough work for eternity. Lay aside your pride, your vanity, and make straight work. Come back again to the fold. The Shepherd is waiting to receive you. Repent, and do your first works, and again come into favor with God. {2T 291-296}

I plead with each of you to “come back again to the fold” of God. Leave your sinful churches and return to Jesus. On Sabbath, stay home and enter into the presence of Jesus, learning from Him, confessing your sins to Him, living in obedience to Him. He is waiting, but your probation will soon end. Please wait no longer.
