Feast Days & Holy Days

My Dear Family in Jesus,

What do we do with the Old Testament feast days, holy days, ceremonies, customs and ordinances? Are they to be included with the Ten Commandments in reverence and obedience? Some think so. Are they to be eliminated all together? Some think so. My question then is, do we go by what we think? Or do we go by what the Bible says? Of course therein lies the problem. Everyone wants to use the Bible and take from the Bible in order to make it say what they want it to say. But is that how God intended the Bible to be used?

In order to answer that question I would like to share a text with you. Peter was recognizing the same problem in his day. People were using the writings of Paul to do whatever they wanted to do. So Peter wrote that Paul writes letters in which “some things in them are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, leading to their own destruction, as they do the rest of the Scriptures.” 2 Peter 3:16.
Ignorant and unstable people distorting Paul and the Bible? Now who would do that? Do you want to be ignorant and unstable, since, as Peter says, that will lead to your destruction? And if you lead others away through your ignorant and unstable practices, it will lead to their destruction and you will be held responsible.

Do you understand now why Revelation is so very adamant that at this time in earth’s history we are to get out of our churches? Do not let them, with their ignorant and unstable manipulation of the Bible, lead you to destruction. So let us take this subject and lay it before the total Bible and see if we can discern truth. God tells us in Isaiah 1:18, “Come now, and let us reason together.”

Another problem is the Christian infection called, “Lazyitis”. This disease is very deadly and widespread. It kills more Christians than any other infection. While other infections are hard to get or easy to contain since they are communicated through touch, body fluids or breath, Lazyitis is very easy to catch and hard to contain.

It moves rapidly through a community because it is communicated through sight. It works like this, a person comes into a church or denomination and sits down. He looks around and sees that others are also sitting down and very few are studying their Bibles. Few are searching for their own salvation. Therefore, he begins catching the infection and before long he is dead in it. He finds that the members of the pastor, church or denomination have decided that the information the pastor, church or denomination has put together for them is sufficient. If the church says so, it must be so. But Peter is very adamant that this is not so.

Many are involved, like Martha, in busybody, do good activities. But these will not get us into Heaven. Jesus reproved Martha and said about Mary, who was sitting at the feet of Jesus and learning, “But there’s only one thing you need. Mary has chosen what is better, and it is not to be taken away from her.” Luke 10:42. Please note, Mary was sitting at the feet of Jesus, not in church listening to a pastor.

Paul is very plain that each “must work out their own salvation.” Philippians 2:12. Paul states to Timothy, “Do your best to present yourself to God as an approved worker who has nothing to be ashamed of, handling the word of truth with precision.” He didn’t tell Timothy to go to church or just “believe” what I Paul am telling you. He told him to search out for his own salvation. Our salvation is not found in a pastor, church or denomination. There is no salvation found in any (church) other than Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12. We must feed on Him personally every day in order to maintain, or continue in, our eternal salvation. As Jesus said, in John 6:51, “I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is My flesh.” As Paul said, “I die daily”. 1 Corinthians 15:31. Daily he studied the words of Jesus. Daily he put them into practice. Paul stated, “For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.” 1 Corinthians 2:2. It wasn’t a church or denomination Paul was teaching. It wasn’t a church or denomination Paul was determined to know. He never taught a church or denomination. Jesus and only Jesus was the theme of his teaching.

And yet our pastors, churches and denominations are bending over backwards to include human wisdom, philosophy and committee meeting votes in their teachings. How far they have fallen. They are also trying to equate their church or denomination with salvation. How Catholic. With this in mind, let us study together, putting our heads together with the Holy Spirit and seeing what we can discern regarding feast days, holy days and all the rest.

The first item of interest we find in our study is that these feast days, holy days and ordinances were first given in the book of Exodus. And since the book of Exodus is only one book removed from the beginning book of the Bible, Genesis, it is assumed that these feast days and holy days and all the rest have been in existence since Adam and Eve left the Garden of Eden. But that is not the case. Did you know there are approximately 2,500 years of earth’s history prior to Exodus? Let that sink in for a moment. 2,500 years! That is more time than has been accumulated since Jesus walked the earth. That is almost half of the earth’s history without any feast days, holy days, ceremonies or ordinances.

Noah wasn’t in the Ark trying to find Jerusalem in order to observe the feast days and holy days. Abraham wasn’t traversing the countryside looking for Jerusalem to celebrate the feast days or holy days. And yet these men, along with many others, were considered righteous and holy. After all, when was the last time God spoke to you as He did with Abraham? Does it take feast days, holy days, church going and celebrations to be nurtured and to get close enough to God for Him to talk to you as He did to Abraham? I think Noah, Abraham, Moses, Elijah, Isaiah, Jeremiah and John the Baptist would disagree with you on that point.

On the other hand, we know through close study of Genesis that the Ten Commandments were already well known to Adam and Eve and their children by the time of Cain and Abel. The entire Bible instructs us that salvation is dependent on our obedience to the Ten Commandments. We are also told that God’s righteousness and salvation never changes. After all, God did tell Cain “If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door. Its desire is for you, but you must rule over it.” Genesis 4:7. He didn’t tell Cain, “If you go to church . . .”. They understood what sin was, even back then. Nothing has changed. Sin and righteousness had nothing to do with holy days, feast days, ordinances or any other temple or church related activities.

“Everyone who sins breaks God’s law, because sin is the same as breaking God’s law.” 1 John 3:4. And that “law” is very plainly stated as the Ten Commandments by Jesus Christ in Matthew 19:17. Interesting that “sin” was never accounted against one who didn’t go to church, join in a celebration, feast day or holy day, etc. In fact, a scribe came up to Jesus one day and wanted to know “Which commandment is the most important of all?” Jesus stated that the keeping of the Ten Commandments was the greatest of all. The scribe was very impressed. He said, “You are right, Teacher. “And to love Him with all the heart and with all the understanding and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as oneself, is much more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.” Mark 12:28-33. The scribe had it right. To love is more important than all the services, ordinances, rituals and ceremonies of the church. As Peter said, “Most important of all, you must sincerely love each other, because love wipes away many sins.” 1 Peter 4:8. And what is “love”? The Bible is very plain that “love” is the obedience to the Ten Commandments.

The scribe understood the very wide chasm that separated our obedience to the Ten Commandments from the observances of the sacrifices, ceremonies, rituals, feast days, holy days and other church activities. In fact, even Jesus told the Pharisees “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written, ‘This people honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me; in vain do they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ You leave the commandment of God and hold to the tradition of men. You have a fine way of rejecting the commandment of God in order to establish your tradition!” Mark 7:6-9.

That is exactly what has happened in our churches today. Our traditions, ceremonies, rituals and ordinances have all replaced our obedience to the Ten Commandments of God. It is those church-going rituals that are “Catholic”. Remember, it was church going, tithe paying, Sabbath keeping people looking for the Messiah to come who put Jesus on the cross. There church nurturing rituals had nothing to do with righteousness or getting to know Jesus in truth. The same is happening in the Sabbath keeping churches of today. Going to church is not obeying Jesus. Nowhere in the Bible do we find Jesus teaching people to go to church.

Even the ritual of circumcision had nothing to do with salvation. God only required it as a “sign” or “ritual” of a person’s willingness to obey the Law. Listen to Paul as he makes it very plain that “circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.” 1 Corinthians 7:19. In fact, Paul even goes farther in stating that “circumcision indeed is of value if you obey the law, but if you break the law, your circumcision becomes uncircumcision.” Romans 2:25. Therefore, since there were men who lived perfectly, righteously and in salvation in the presence of God during the 2,500 year period without the feast days, holy days, circumcision and other rituals and ordinances, why did God institute them? Was it to burden us? To cause divisions? To see if we could keep them?

God, who created man, is well aware of the fact that the human species learns better through symbols, illustrations and images. In short - Metaphors. Let us take a look at some illustrations and images He has used to help the human mind grasp the truths of God. The Tree of Life and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil are examples. Eating for our eternal life or eternal death. Jesus used that concept in explaining our relationship to Him. We are to eat His body and drink His blood. We are to feed on His Words in order to have eternal life. His Words must become one with our life in order for us to become one with His eternal life. His words, not the words of your church.

The sacrifice of the lamb which Adam and Eve were to perform is another example. It was given to show the Lamb of God who would one day take away the sin of the world. The lamb was perfect, without defect, to show that Christ would be perfect and without defect. The lamb was innocent and did not deserve to die, but symbolically took the place of the sinner’s penalty for sin: death. So Jesus, who did not deserve to die, took the penalty of sin for your death. What love! And by the way, again, the sacrifice of the lamb did not save one person. Just as going to church will not save you. Listen to Samuel, “Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to listen than the fat of rams.” 1 Samuel 15:22.

After God showed Adam and Eve how to slay and sacrifice the lamb, He then used the skins to cover Adam and Eve. This was to illustrate how the Lamb of God covers our sinful nature with His grace. His grace does not save us eternally but simply allows us to continue living physically while we learn faith in the Lamb of God. Faith that leads to perfect obedience which leads to eternal life. As Paul said, it is “the doers of the law who will be justified.” Romans 2:13.

The building of the Ark illustrated the effort we are to put into our own salvation. Noah would not have lasted very long if all he did was “believe” in the reality of the Ark. The rainbow which arched the sky above Noah’s sacrifices symbolized the grace of God in our physical salvation from immediate death. It was a promise that those who should live in obedience to the commandments of God would be protected from eternal death and saved at last. The multicolores of the rainbow represent the multifacets of God’s grace. What love! Out of a world of almost 2 billion people that should have been destroyed because of sin God saved a remnant of 8 people who were obedient to His commands. He promised that He would never destroy this wicked world again by water. What grace!

The symbolic act of Abraham offering his son Isaac is another example. But before he could consummate the sacrifice of his son, God stopped him and substituted a ram. Abraham saw clearly, in the parable, the plan of salvation. We deserve nothing but death, but God gave His only Son as our substitute to bear the penalty for our sins. Amazing love!

The night Jacob wrestled with God is another illustration. How appropriate in demonstrating our necessity in wrestling with God in our lives. Making sure we are secure in Him. Straining every nerve and putting forth every effort. How few strain unto blood. Maybe that is why Jesus said that very few would be saved. Luke 13:24. He said that only those who strive will make it to Heaven. He didn’t say those who were striving to go to church would make it to Heaven.

Joseph being sold into slavery by His brothers represented a type of Christ. Jesus was sold by Judas into the hands of wicked men who mistreated Him. But it was for our salvation just as Joseph’s experience turned out for the salvation of His family and brothers. On and on the list continues. Jesus uses those examples and illustrations which we can see, taste and experience in order to explain to us the plan of salvation. This “salvation” was a “mystery” but one that could be investigate and discovered. Romans 16:25.

By the time of Exodus it was time for a more thorough display of the plan of Salvation. Time is everything. By my count, just the word “time” is used over 620 times in the Bible. God seems to care about “time”. Time is not to be wasted. Time is to be used wisely. Timing is important to God. In order to understand some of that timing, please view our videos on the books of Daniel and Revelation. God’s salvation is governed by time. Everything is calculated to the exact hour. Nothing is left to chance. Wasting God’s time in church will result in your death.

Since all the previous illustrations, examples and types which God had given were being misrepresented and used for evil, God needed to implement a more perfect illustration of His plan of Salvation. The temple system with its sacrifices, feast days, holy days, ceremonies, attire, order and timing were all designed to clearly present the plan of salvation, the sacrifice of the Lamb of God and His work in Heaven. The temple system, given through Moses, was designed to bring out a deeper understanding of God’s justice and mercy to the Israelites. Keep in mind, the Ten Commandments were given at the creation of the world to Adam and Eve for all humanity. The physical Temple services, feast days, holy days, ordinances and services were only given to and for Israel.

The Passover was named after an event which touched the lives of millions. Those who were obedient to God and killed a lamb, painting its blood on the doorposts, were passed over by the avenging angel. Those who refused to be obedient watched as their first born son was put to death. The people were not called to go to church or a group meeting. They were instructed to go home and with their families to search their hearts and make sure all was done according to the command of God. Their deliverance was of a personal nature. Each had to be obedient. Belonging to the church, group or clan would not save you. And even though it was a night to rejoice, they were not rejoicing or celebrating with dancing or festivities. They were solemnly in prayer and heart searching in preparation for the passing over of the destroying angel. You might say, it was the “close of probation” of that era in their lives. What are we doing in our “close of probation” time?

The Passover was to remind the people, year after year, of the coming messiah who would shed His blood for the sins of the world and deliver us from sin. Those who hide themselves under the blood of Jesus would find protection when the final wrath of God was to be poured out upon the wicked. And how do we hide ourselves under the blood of Jesus? By living perfectly according to His Word. Jesus tells us that those who love Him will keep His commandments. John 14:15.

The waving of the sheaf represented the resurrection of Christ as the first fruits of all who would be raised immortal from their sleep of death at the end of time. It also represented the fact that the food they enjoyed eating was a result of the blessings of God. The sunshine, the rain, the life of the plant was all a result of the grace and love of God in sustaining the life cycle. Should we not be thankful? Should we not show our thankfulness to Jesus? But how do we show that love? By going to church? Celebrating a feast day? Holding a convocation? No! By obedience to the Law of God. Letting the light of God’s Character, the Ten Commandments, shine out of our lives.

As you study deeply into these symbolic rituals you will find the plan of salvation fully explained. We are to study them, not to observe them. You might say they were teachers that taught the people the plan of salvation. Signs that pointed the people in the Way. When Jesus came, He simply expressed them in word and action. He was the living temple. He was the Way, the Truth and the Life. The temple that Moses built in the wilderness represented the body of Jesus. Jesus said, “destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it again.” John 2:19. Jesus was pointing to His own body. It is Paul who tells us that our bodies are to be the temple of the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 6:19.

As the temple in the wilderness was made exactly, perfectly, as God commanded, so our bodies and lives are to be lived exactly, perfectly, as God commands. Exodus 39:43. You might say the Israelites were legalists in putting together the temple. No deviation was allowed. The same in our lives. Jesus exemplified that legalism and perfection and He commands us to follow His example. Jesus said, “I do exactly as my Father has commanded Me.” John 14:31. “For I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you.” John 13:15. As Jesus lived His life, so we are to live ours. “The one who says that he abides in Him must live the same way He Himself lived.” 1 John 2:6.

The example Christ left us is very interesting. When we look at His example we find it totally involved in perfection of character, not rituals or church going. Did He go to “church”? Of course. That is where the people where. But He didn’t go to teach us how to be good church members. In fact, His teaching is quite the opposite. He went to teach, not sit. After all, if you already know the truth, then why are you wasting your life sitting in a pew continuing to listen to it? Hearing the same information will not make you more righteous or saved. Jesus commands us to go and teach, not go and sit. Matthew 28:20. His example taught us that.
And if we are following His example, I can pretty much assure you that you will be cast out of your church as He was for teaching truth. If that is not happening to you, be assured, you are not doing what Jesus has commanded of you. Why? Because Paul again is very explicit, “all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” 2 Timothy 3:12. When was the last time you were persecuted for living righteously? Very seldom did Jesus go to church. He was too busy going from place to place teaching the people.

So now we come back to the concept of why the feast days and holy days were given? They were given specifically to the Israelites, and to no one else, for the purpose of sharing the plan of salvation, not the temple plans, with the world. Israel was planted in the midst of the nations of the world at that time. The trade routes all crossed through Israel giving the people of Israel exposure to the peoples of the world. God’s desire was for the knowledge of His plan of salvation to flow into every nation of the world. As the merchants traveled through the Land of Israel, they would ask the meaning of the temple rituals and sacrifices. The Israelites were to share the meaning of a coming Messiah who would die for their sins.

However, looking forward, how was God going to explain the cleansing of the Heavenly Sanctuary in 1844? He needed an example, a parable that would help the finite mind grasp the infinite. The Sanctuary and all that went with it were representative of the work of Salvation. But once those concepts were written down, understood and had been exemplified by the temple action, no longer were the tutors needed. When that plan was consummated in the sacrifice of Christ, the temple with all its services, feast days, holy days, sacrifices and anything else associated with it were finished. That is why Jesus cried out on the cross, “It is finished”. John 19:30.

He fulfilled all those types which pointed to His life and death. The laws of temple feasts, ordinances and rituals, etc. were nailed to the cross in Christ. The Ten Commandment law was upheld as eternal and immutable. As Paul said, “you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God. Formerly, when you did not know God, you were enslaved to those that by nature are not gods. But now that you have come to know God . . . how can you turn back again to the weak and worthless elementary principles of the world, whose slaves you want to be once more? You observe days and months and seasons and years! I am afraid I may have labored over you in vain.” Galatians 4:7-11.

Again, Paul cried out in anguish over those who were wanting to return to the Jewish formalisms and traditions of the past. He says, “If with Christ you died to the elemental spirits of the world, why, as if you were still alive in the world, do you submit to regulations—Do not handle, Do not taste, Do not touch . . . according to human precepts and teachings? These have indeed an appearance of wisdom in promoting self-made religion and asceticism and severity to the body, but they are of no value in stopping the indulgence of the flesh.” Colossians 2:20-23.

And therein lays the whole crux of the matter. All these forms, feast, ceremonies, blowing of ram’s horns, circumcision, church-going and all the rest have absolutely no value in controlling the sinful nature. They put on a great show. They have great power to seduce and hypnotize. But that which we must have in order to enter heaven, they have no part in. Only the keeping of the Ten Commandments has value in changing the life. Only in obedience to the Ten Commandments can we develop the character fit for heaven. The rest is all “Catholic”. The rest is a sideshow that is taking the eyes off of Jesus and putting them on man-made religions and man. You might as well be a Catholic or a Muslim. Not only are they of no value in preparing us for heaven, they are actually hindering those who want to go to heaven. They are producing in modern Christians what the Jews of Jeremiah’s day and Christ’s day developed: pride, arrogance, selfishness and greed. As Jesus said, “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees (Sabbath keeping leaders), hypocrites! For you travel across sea and land to make a single proselyte, and when he becomes a proselyte, you make him twice as much a child of hell as yourselves.” Matthew 23:15.

A most interesting fact is, the feast days could only be kept where God chose for them to be kept. In other words, you cannot keep the feast days where God has not directed them to be kept. And in all the Bible, only two places were chosen by God for keeping the feast days: Shiloh and Jerusalem. Deuteronomy 16:15, 16. In fact, the Israelites only kept the feast days once when they were first introduced while wondering in the desert and that was at Sinai. They did not keep them again until they reached the designated place chosen by God. If they were so important, why did God not require them for 39 years in the desert wandering?

Shiloh was the first place God directed for the temple to be erected and the feast days observed upon entering the Promised Land. But because of the sins of Eli and his sons, God destroyed the services and observances there at Shiloh. For almost 50 years they were not observed until they were restarted again and observed in Jerusalem under the direction and instruction of God through David. You didn’t know that, did you? Only God could direct where and when the services, rituals and temple ceremonies, feast days and holy days were to be held. Deuteronomy 16:15, 16.

Again, there was no “sin” attached to not keeping any of the feast days, holy days, ordinances and services. Sin is only the breaking of the Ten Commandments. Any Israelite did not sin by being away on a journey or trip. If he was not at Jerusalem during the feast days he was not allowed to observe them. There was one exception only. When they returned from their journey or had been cleansed from any impurity that prevented them from observing Passover at the designated place, they could observe Passover at the designated place in the following month.

When Babylon destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple, the Jews taken into captivity observed none of the feasts or services of the temple until they returned. Why do you think they were so anxious to get back to Jerusalem? They did however begin the “church” system called, “Synagogue”. The synagogue system was modeled after the pagan church services. But that was not the same as what took place at the temple. Therefore, that is why God destroyed Jerusalem and the temple in AD 70. Since the Jews refused to accept Jesus as the fulfillment of the temple rituals, services and everything else that went along with the temple, God wiped it out. Even the early Jewish Christians were still allowing their feelings and upbringing to affect their relationship to the temple. The temple had become their god. They looked to it with veneration. It was looked upon no differently than pagans would look upon their temples. God had to destroy it.

The same is true today. Those who are involved with feast days, holy days, church services, rituals and everything else are displeasing God and will bring upon them His wrath. The services have become so programed and ordered that there is no room for the working of the Holy Spirit. It is all about man-made power, ego, pride, self-sufficiency and money. In a word, “Catholic”.

There are things that God has in the past required for us to do, but when the object for which they were instituted is no longer needed or are no longer fulfilling their purpose, we must stop putting our attention on those things. An example of this is the bronze snake God commanded Moses to make for the people to look at for their healing. It was commanded by God. It was for the healing of the people. But that ritual, act and observance was only for a specific time and place. Just as the Temple services, ordinances and ceremonies where only for Jerusalem before the death of Christ. By the time of Hezekiah, people were using the bronze snake in their worship. It had become pagan. Therefore Hezekiah had it destroyed. 2 Kings 18:4.
Today is no different. Our churches and religious organizations have taken on pagan rituals, ceremonies, ordinances and other systems that have nothing to do with salvation. They have lost their purpose. It is all for entertainment, money making and pride. They have all been hijacked by the devil for his glory.

The people of Jeremiah’s day could not understand why God was angry with them. They were holding all the church services, festivals and rituals, ceremonies and ordinances that God had required of them. They were great at going to church. But they were not living as God commanded of them. Therefore, He destroyed them. When God returned the people to the land of Israel, they built the temple and started up the services again. But again, they refused to be obedient to the Ten Commandments. Therefore, in cries of pathos God told Malachi, “Oh, that one of you would shut the Temple (church) doors . . . ! I’m not pleased with you, and I’ll accept no offerings from you.” Malachi 1:10.

God is angry with our churches today. Listen as He continues to pour out His grief. “This is another thing you do: you flood the altar of the LORD with tears, weeping and wailing because He no longer pays attention to your offering nor takes pleasure in it from your hand.” Malachi 2:13. And why is God so angry? “‘The lips of a priest should preserve knowledge, and people should seek instruction from his mouth, because he’s the messenger of the LORD of the Heavenly Armies. But you priests turned aside from the way, and by your teaching you caused many to stumble. You have violated the covenant of Levi,’ says the LORD of the Heavenly Armies.” Malachi 2:7, 8.

The ministers and pastors, churches and denominations that should be teaching the teachings of Jesus have turned aside from the way and are teaching for money and power. They no longer teach the teachings of Jesus to stop sinning, be perfect and keep the Ten Commandments to get our eternal life. And as such, they are causing many to stumble and turn away from the path God has commanded us to walk in. Therefore the Lord declares, “I’ll put a stop to her mirth, along with her celebrations, her New Moons, her Sabbaths, and all of her festive assemblies.” Hosea 2:11. And so He did. Those who try to resurrect them are under the curse of God.

“They feed on the sin of my people; they purpose in their heart to transgress.” Hosea 4:8. And so the churches do. They no longer teach people to stop sinning. It is all “saved by grace”. The churches feed on the sins of the people in order to make money off of them. The Protestant churches, including the Sabbath keeping churches, are no different than the Catholic system. It is all about money and power.

“For it is love that I seek, and not sacrifice; knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.” Hosea 6:6. But the churches keep piling on the “knowledge” of the church along with more services and rituals in order to deceive the people into thinking their “learning” will get them into heaven. How deceived they are. They have become Babylon the prostitute and her children the whores.

The character that God desires, the love of Jesus in the heart, the churches are refusing to teach. That love is obedience to the Ten Commandments. The “love” the churches are teaching today is the devil’s love of selfishness, peace and safety. How slyly the devil has been in shifted our attention from Jesus to a church or denomination. How slyly our devotion has been turned away from Jesus to man-made buildings and services. They are now “anti” or “in place of” Jesus.

Jesus says, “Don’t trust deceptive words like these, and say, ‘The Temple of the LORD, the Temple of the LORD, the Temple of the LORD,’ but rather, truly change your ways and your deeds.” Jeremiah 7:4, 5. But alas it is not to be. The festivals, ceremonies, ordinances, rituals, churches, denominations and all the rest have become so entertaining that we are not able to appreciate the rest and quietness of the presence of God in our lives. We “love” our churches. How we rush about getting ready for church and the activities of church while breaking the Commandment to rest on God’s Sabbath. All must be a show and something new. A noise and a production. Dynamic preaching. But alas, God is not there.

Let us listen to the voice of God, not the church, and hear what God has to say where He dwells.

Psalm 34:18 “The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”
Psalm 51:17 “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.”
Isaiah 57:15 “For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: ‘I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite.’”
Isaiah 66:2 “All these things my hand has made, and so all these things came to be, declares the LORD. But this is the one to whom I will look: he who is humble and contrite in spirit and trembles at my word.”

Nothing about dwelling in a church or organization. Nothing about building such expensive, God forsaken edifices of paganism we call churches. God dwells with those who tremble at His word. But the pastors, churches and denominations are no longer trembling at his word or teaching His Word to stop sinning, be perfect and keep the Ten Commandments for your eternal life. It is all about church, church, church. In the Old and New Testament and today, nothing has changed.

Those who get caught up in their churches for salvation are lost. “‘Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to listen than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of divination, and presumption is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, He has also rejected you . . .’.” 1 Samuel 15:22 & 23.
And what is that “presumption”? How about, “I believe in Jesus” while refusing to obey His teachings? How about believing you are “saved by grace” while continuing in sin? The pastors, churches and denominations have all reject the word of the Lord. They are all practicing the sin of divination and idolatry. God has rejected them. He commands everyone who is in a church or denomination to “come out of her, My people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Revelation 18:4.

We are not to fear man, church or denomination. Instead of going to church and being lulled into complacency, we are called to “Fear God and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come, and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water.” Revelation 14:7. That is what all the ceremonies, feast days, holy days and rituals were all about. They were to teach us that we are now at the end of time and judgment has commenced. But instead of preparing our hearts for the close of probation, the churches are lulling us into a false security that we are saved in church. They are telling us that we must belong to their church or denomination in order to be one of the remnant. But that is a lie. If you are not living the perfect, righteous, sinless life, you are lost. Instead of preparing for church, let us prepare our hearts to live as Jesus commands us: perfect, righteous and sinless.

As Jesus was closing out His ministry on earth, He gathered His 12 disciples around Him and demonstrated His love for them. He knew that the gospel would be taken around the world. Few of the Jews would accept it but the Gentiles would embrace it. Therefore, Jesus instituted a ceremony that could be kept by all. It represented the life of Jesus: humble, loving service. This any person on the planet could do, any place, anywhere. Jesus said, this do in remembrance of Me. Let us follow the example of Jesus and humble our hearts in putting away the old ceremonial laws of the Old Testament temple and begin living the New Testament ceremony that Jesus commands us to keep. Not only as a ceremony, but in the heart and life.

My Dear Family in Christ,

That with which the parable of the sower chiefly deals is the effect produced on the growth of the seed by the soil into which it is cast. By this parable Christ was virtually saying to His hearers, It is not safe for you to stand as critics of My work, or to indulge disappointment because it does not meet your ideas. The question of greatest importance to you is, How do you treat My message? Upon your reception or rejection of it your eternal destiny depends.

Explaining the seed that fell by the wayside, He said, “When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the wayside.”

The seed sown by the wayside represents the word of God as it falls upon the heart of an inattentive hearer. Like the hard-beaten path, trodden down by the feet of men and beasts, is the heart that becomes a highway for the world’s traffic, its pleasures and sins. Absorbed in selfish aims and sinful indulgences, the soul is “hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.” Hebrews 3:13. The spiritual faculties are paralyzed. Men hear the word, but understand it not. They do not discern that it applies to themselves. They do not realize their need or their danger. They do not perceive the love of Christ, and they pass by the message of His grace as something that does not concern them.

As the birds are ready to catch up the seed from the wayside, so Satan is ready to catch away the seeds of divine truth from the soul. He fears that the word of God may awaken the careless, and take effect upon the hardened heart. Satan and his angels are in the assemblies where the gospel is preached. While angels of heaven endeavor to impress hearts with the word of God, the enemy is on the alert to make the word of no effect. With an earnestness equaled only by his malice, he tries to thwart the work of the Spirit of God. While Christ is drawing the soul by His love, Satan tries to turn away the attention of the one who is moved to seek the Saviour. He engages the mind with worldly schemes. He excites criticism, or insinuates doubt and unbelief. The speaker’s choice of language or his manner may not please the hearers, and they dwell upon these defects. Thus the truth they need, and which God has graciously sent them, makes no lasting impression.

Satan has many helpers. Many who profess to be Christians are aiding the tempter to catch away the seeds of truth from other hearts. Many who listen to the preaching of the word of God make it the subject of criticism at home. They sit in judgment on the sermon as they would on the words of a lecturer or a political speaker. The message that should be regarded as the word of the Lord to them is dwelt upon with trifling or sarcastic comment. The minister’s character, motives, and actions, and the conduct of fellow members of the church, are freely discussed. Severe judgment is pronounced, gossip or slander repeated, and this in the hearing of the unconverted. Often these things are spoken by parents in the hearing of their own children. Thus are destroyed respect for God’s messengers, and reverence for their message. And many are taught to regard lightly God’s word itself.

Thus in the homes of professed Christians many youth are educated to be infidels. And the parents question why their children are so little interested in the gospel, and so ready to doubt the truth of the Bible. They wonder that it is so difficult to reach them with moral and religious influences. They do not see that their own example has hardened the hearts of their children. The good seed finds no place to take root, and Satan catches it away.{COL 44-46}

Dear Ron,
I am serving a 5 year prison sentence for aggravated burglary and I go up for parole in the next three months. I don’t have any family. I’m 26 years old and in the state of Tennessee to make parole, you have to have a house plan and a job plan. I can get a waiver for the job plan, but not the house plan. I was wondering if JCPM could get me into a half-way house or help me with a house plan in Lucerne Valley. I got your address and a book called, “Change Your Life Biblically” and am growing in faith in the Lord. I hope your ministry can help me get a house plan so I will not end up back where I was in the drug life again. I’m trying to move forward with my life and not look back into the past. I know I have been freed from being a slave to sin and I’m living for Jesus Christ now. If you could help me get into a half-way house or direct me to someone that can, it would be greatly appreciated.
Sherman, TN

(We have the property, but would need committed donors to fund a half-way house. What a wonderful way to teach these young men how to live for Jesus and then send them out as missionaries into the world to serve Jesus. If anyone out there is interested in helping us accomplish this aspect of the ministry, please contact me.)

To Whom It May Concern,
I am a baby Christian and I am really in need of some godly guidance in here. I am praising the Lord through my storms but the storms tend to keep coming. Please help me. God bless you in Jesus name.
Jason, CA

Dear Ron,
I just recently received your “Introductory Issue” and “2nd Peter’s 8 Steps”. I have read both of them and enjoyed them very much. I wanted to know if you could please send me your book, “Change Your Life Biblically”. I am currently involved in a Christ based program here at this prison. It is a really good program from what I’ve seen and I believe your book would help me a lot in understanding things and improve my walk with Christ. Please send anything you feel maybe helpful to me in my walk with Christ or anything I may be able to bring to the program I am in.
Andy, CA

To Whom It May Concern,
Could you please send me a free “Change Your Life Biblically”? I’m trying to give my life to Christ. I was a sinner trying for a big change in life. Thank you.
Kenneth, VA

Hey Ronald,
Can you send me the 480 page workbook, “Change Your Life Biblically”? Also, I misplaced my “8 steps” booklet. Can you send me another “8 steps” booklet so I can keep it for my study?
Keith, CA

I am a born again Christian. I would appreciate it if you guys can send me a copy of a Bible for my own personal use. I am doing 30 to life.
Efrain, CA

Dear Jesus Christ Prison Ministry,
Thank you and God bless you all. I would like to be put on your mailing list and to participate in any Bible study you may have to help me in my walk with Christ Jesus. All spiritual growth literature would be a blessing.
Omar, CA

Dear Brother Ronald John,
I hope this letter will find you and your ministry in the best of spirits and highly favored in the Lord. I’m sorry that I cannot send any stamps or money to you. But I am truly interested in your workbook. I have read “2nd Peter’s 8 Steps” and believe that I will prosper according to “2nd Peter’s 1:3-4” the promises that were made on behalf of the Lord. I practice “2nd Peter’s 8 Steps” to the best of my ability on a day to day basis. I have faith in my Lord Jesus Christ to guide and protect me through this journey. I try to see goodness in everyone because we all make mistakes. I had stopped applying these few steps into my life and I relapsed. Now I sit here again. Well brother John, God is good. A friend gave me 10 stamps so I am enclosing them in this letter.
Andrea, CA

I am 27 years old. I am inquiring about any Bible studies you can send me.
Randall, CA

Today I was laying here reading volume II of, ‘Change Your Life Biblically’ and I started thinking. I have had your book for something like 1 to 2 years. I read some for a while then I would put it away. Pick it up again, start over and read for a while, usually farther each time, but then I would put it down again for a while. I got into a fight and put into the “hole”. Laying there thinking, it dawned on me that I was provided as much time as was needed to read CYLB without having something to interfere. No TV, radio, pod time, work and even no cellie. I have always had some apprehension to some aspects of how the church is ran. I was going to non-denominational services. Now after reading further in your book and seeing how the Catholic Church has tainted the rules of God to the detriment of its followers, I am having trouble going to Sunday services. In my last letter I had said I was going to take charge of ambassadorship of your ministry in Colorado. Man, it’s harder than just saying it. People dodge and duck and say, “I think the church would be an authority on these matters, not you.” Then they won’t listen any more. Even when you show them proof. Since I am having trouble convincing others to act upon themselves to research CYLB, I’m going to include some names and address of 3 men that if you could start them out with “2nd Peter’s 8 Steps” and see if they continue from there.
Turk, CO

I would like to request for a free copy or book “Change Your Life Biblically”.
Ernest, CA

Thank you for the Introductory Issue. Enclosed is the flyer for my free book. I’ll be waiting for it and any other free literature you got to offer. I will pass the other flyers out to other inmates in my section.
Ricky, CA

To Whom It May Concern,
I seen your book, “Change Your Life Biblically”. I read some of it. I would like to do your study and if you please, I would like to be put on your pen-pal list. I have no one to write to and I would like to have a pal to write to. Thank you very much and God bless you.
James, IN

Dear Ron,
Faith to me is the total belief in God and Jesus Christ which is essential for salvation. I have turned my will over to God and His son Jesus and now I am trying to understand His Word better. Goodness, the quality of being good. Since I started walking down the road to Jesus, I’ve tried my best to be good to others. I practice self-control on a daily basis. There are times when I don’t want to do my Bible studies but I make myself. Perseverance is the steadfast effort to follow God’s commands and do His work. I sit and do Bible studies on a daily basis so that I’ll be ready to go to work when God calls me. I share what I know with those around that feel like I do and want to change their lives. All my brothers here I love and share what God has provided for me.
Timothy, IA

I have given my life to the Lord. I would very much like to have your Bible correspondence class so I can learn more about my Lord and His Word.
Michael, CA

I was informed that you were in need of some stamps so that you could send the “Change Your Life Biblically” workbook to me and brother Noah. We are here together in the same dorm. Enclosed you will find 10 stamps so that you can send the workbook for me and Noah so we can share. I want to thank you for your patience and love towards the brothers that are behind these walls. I pray that your ministry goes above and beyond than you could imagine in Christ Jesus.
Heriberto, TX

Brother Ronald John,
I got a new job in the prison canteen. I wanted to dedicate my first paycheck too, but I had to have hernia surgery. I am recovering now. I lost a few weeks of work. I owe 55% restitution, I go out and wheel and deal for a book of stamps. So here I send these. It ain’t much but from here forward I will be able to tithe more. I love you brother,
Frankie, CA

Dear Ron,
I was introduced to your ministry via of a pen-pal Daryl who was at Corcoran, California prison facility. When I found that he had been discharged, I was made glad. I have read your publication and I am glad that your service is reaching out to the population that the rest of society has cast aside. PTL. I will pass on your literature to the needy and pray that the work for which you all is into will be fruitful. The Lord is not willing that any be lost and I, having tasted of the Lord’s goodness, will keep you all in my prayer. Oh that these men who read your writing will gain the victory. For truly the question to be asked them is what in hell do you want? Especially since our Lord Jesus tells us in Revelation 1:18 that He has been there for us so we do not need to go.
John, OH (Non-inmate)

Testimony for God's People

My Dear Family in Christ,

I am sharing this testimony for the Children of God. Let us begin by listening to the words of God through His modern-day prophet. Let us see if there are words of admonition from God for us. Will we listen to God? Or will we continue sitting in our churches closing our eyes and ears?

The words which Christ addressed to His disciples were designed for all who should believe on His name: “Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savor, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden underfoot of men.” A profession of godliness without the living principle is as utterly valueless as salt without its saving properties. An unprincipled professed Christian is a byword, a reproach to Christ, a dishonor to His name. “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

Salt sitting in the saltshaker does no one any good. It must be spread onto the food in order to be enjoyed and appreciated. Are you sitting in your “saltshaker” patting yourself on your back thinking you are doing good? No where in all the Bible are we commanded to sit in our churches. We are called to action. If you are selfishly sitting in your church soaking up all that information, you are not of God. We are to be developing God’s perfect, righteous, sinless, commandment keeping life, not going to church.

The good works of God’s people have a more powerful influence than words. By their virtuous life and unselfish acts the beholder is led to desire the same righteousness which produced so good fruit. He is charmed with that power from God which transforms selfish human beings into the divine image, and God is honored, His name glorified. But the Lord is dishonored and His cause reproached by His people’s being in bondage to the world. They are in friendship with the world, the enemies of God. Their only hope of salvation is to separate from the world and zealously maintain their separate, holy, and peculiar character. Oh! why will not God’s people comply with the conditions laid down in His word? If they would do this they would not fail to realize the excellent blessings freely given of God to the humble and obedient.

The churches are so dark. They have extinguished the Light of Life. No longer is the light of obedience for our salvation taught. No longer is the Ten Commandments magnified and glorified for our eternal life. Jesus came to glorify the Ten Commandments in His life. Nothing but perfection of character will be admitted into Heaven. If your church is not helping you to develop the perfect, sinless and Commandment keeping life, it is time to get out. However, instead of teaching the teachings of Jesus and changing lives, we now make idols and statues to place in our churches and on our school grounds and in our denominational headquarter offices. How Catholic.

I was amazed as I beheld the terrible darkness of many of the members of our churches. The lack of true godliness was such that they were bodies of darkness and death, instead of being the light of the world. Many professed to love God, but in works denied Him. They did not love, serve, nor obey Him. Their own selfish interests were primary. With a large number there seemed to be an alarming lack of principle. They were swayed by unconsecrated influence and seemed to have no root in themselves. I inquired what these things meant. Why was there such a destitution of spirituality, so few who had a living experience in religious things? I was referred to the words of the prophet: “Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and put the stumbling block of their iniquity before their face: should I be inquired of at all by them? Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet; I the Lord will answer him that cometh according to the multitude of his idols; that I may take the house of Israel in their own heart, because they are all estranged from Me through their idols.”

And that was almost 150 years ago. The church that God raised up to glorify His Ten Commandments has fallen, backslidden. It no longer glorifies the Ten Commandments. Now it glorifies the Catholic doctrine of “saved by Grace”, or “Just sit back and let God do it” or, “It is Jesus who does it in you, you don’t have to do anything.” We have set up the idols of numbers - how many baptisms can we get this year? Idols of money, idols of position - I am a woman and I deserve to be an ordained minister. The world has truly taken over our churches.

The people of God were represented to me as in a backslidden state. They have not an eye single to the glory of God. Their own glory is prominent. They seek to glorify themselves and yet call themselves Christians. Holiness of heart and purity of life was the great subject of the teachings of Christ. In His Sermon on the Mount, after specifying what must be done in order to be blessed, and what must not be done, He says: “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.”

The churches of Sabbath keepers today do not want to be told they must be perfect. They do not want to hear the prophets of God tell them to change their lives. They are so selfish in their sins that all they want is a church who will tell them what they want to hear. They love their church, as long as their church “loves” them and tells them what they want. But to teach true love, love that will tell the truth as Jesus taught it, to be perfect, stop sinning and to keep the Ten Commandments to get your eternal life, is not what the church wants to hear today. It has been infiltrated by Catholic Jesuits and is now leading the people of God back to the Catholic church system of “church”, not Jesus as our savior.

Perfection, holiness, nothing short of this, would give them success in carrying out the principles He had given them. Without this holiness the human heart is selfish, sinful, and vicious. Holiness will lead its possessor to be fruitful and abound in all good works. He will never become weary in well-doing, neither will he look for promotion in this world. He will look forward for promotion to the time when the Majesty of heaven shall exalt the sanctified ones to His throne. Then shall He say unto them: “Come, ye blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.” The Lord then enumerates the works of self-denial and mercy, compassion and righteousness, which they had wrought. Holiness of heart will produce right actions. It is the absence of spirituality, of holiness, which leads to unrighteous acts, to envy, hatred, jealousy, evil surmisings, and every hateful and abominable sin.

People say, “that sounds like self-help”. Well, yes, it is. You self-helped yourself to sin, therefore, you must self-help yourself to righteousness. God can’t save one person. If He could save you, He would have to save Lucifer. But He can’t. He can open the door to salvation, but only you can walk yourself into heaven. The way is very narrow, and only those who are walking (working) on that way will be saved. The Ten Commandments, not the church, is that narrow way. As we strive to be obedient, God will then give us the power to continue. But if we are sitting in church accomplishing nothing in our walk with Christ, the Spirit of God has left us. “Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling”. Philippians 2:12.

I have tried in the fear of God to set before His people their danger and their sins, and have endeavored, to the best of my feeble powers, to arouse them. I have stated startling things, which, if they had believed, would have caused them distress and terror, and led them to zeal in repenting of their sins and iniquities. I have stated before them that, from what was shown me, but a small number of those now professing to believe the truth would eventually be saved—not because they could not be saved, but because they would not be saved in God’s own appointed way. The way marked out by our divine Lord is too narrow and the gate too strait to admit them while grasping the world or while cherishing selfishness or sin of any kind. There is no room for these things; and yet there are but few who will consent to part with them, that they may pass the narrow way and enter the strait gate.

Like the Jews of Christ’s day, the Sabbath keeping churches of today are refusing to teach the teachings of Jesus to be perfect, stop sinning and to keep the Ten Commandments to get our eternal life. They have watered it down and made it so fuzzy and comfortable to be a Christian. The churches teach that all you have to do is just believe and be saved. Just come to our church and be saved. Just be baptized and listen to our TV and radio programs and be saved. But that will only lull you to sleep and you are lost.

The words of Christ are plain: “Strive [agonize] to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.” Not all professed Christians are Christians at heart. There are sinners in Zion now, as there were anciently. Isaiah speaks of them in referring to the day of God: “The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings? He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly, he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil; he shall dwell on high: his place of defense shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.”

There are hypocrites now who will tremble when they obtain a view of themselves. Their own vileness will terrify them in that day which is soon to come upon us, a day when “the Lord cometh out of His place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity.” Oh, that terror might now lay hold upon them, that they might have a vivid sense of their condition and arouse while there is mercy and hope, confess their sins, and humble their souls greatly before God, that He might pardon their transgressions and heal their backslidings! The people of God are unready for the fearful, trying scenes before us, unready to stand pure from evil and lust amid the perils and corruptions of this degenerate age. They have not on the armor of righteousness, and are unprepared to war against the prevailing iniquity. Many are not obeying the commandments of God, yet they profess so to do. If they would be faithful to obey all the statutes of God they would have a power which would carry conviction to the hearts of the unbelieving. {2T 443-446}

To be continued next month.

Ministry News

I want to share with you another letter from Richard. He has written before and still refuses to accept Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He is a wonderful Sabbath keeping Catholic. He has made his church his god. How do we know this. It is very simple. Any time we put the teachings of man and the church above Jesus, the church has become our god. Any time we put anything above obedience to Jesus, that “thing” becomes our god. No one who is serving another “god” can go to heaven. Listen to Richard’s letter.

Dear Bro.,
How I wish we could visit. But you have seen all my criticism that you wish to have.

That is the first clue. Like the Pharisees, church people “criticize” the teachings of Jesus. They wish not to listen to the truth. The church has become their “truth” and they stop listening to Jesus. They have transferred their faith from Jesus to the church. Never are we to “criticise” the teachings of Jesus. Our only duty is to obey them.

“Stop sinning; be perfect and keep the commandments.” It sounds too much like a ‘self-help’ program to me.

Well, you can call it what you want, but when Jesus commands us to, “Stop sinning, be perfect and keep the Ten Commandments” to get your eternal life, I suppose, that is just what Jesus meant. Who is your church? Who is Richard to disagree with Jesus like the Pharisees did, or the Catholic Church, or the Mormons, or the Baptists, or any other church? Any person or church who steps in between you and obedience to the teachings of Jesus is “anti” or “in place of” Jesus. Jesus said, “teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” Matthew 28:20. Nothing there about “church”. “The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.” John 6:63. Nothing there about “church”. If your church is not teaching people to “observe” or be obedient to the words of Jesus which are spirit and life, then they are not taking you to heaven. Jesus taught us to be perfect, stop sinning and to keep the Ten Commandments to get our eternal life. Now I believe Jesus. He is the only One who can get me into Heaven. “If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house or give him any greeting, for whoever greets him takes part in his wicked works.” 2 John 1:10, 11.

And yet, that is what Richard is doing. He is taking into his life those who are not bringing the teachings of Jesus. He is a wonderful Sabbath keeping, church going Catholic. That is what the Catholics and all denominations and churches are doing. That is why they will in the end join up together against those of us who are obedient to Jesus.

But that righteousness can only be obtained through Christ dwelling in us.

And yes it is. That is how we know that Richard does not have Christ dwelling in him. To have Christ dwelling in us is to be living the life of Christ. “No one who abides in Him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen Him or known Him.” 1 John 3:6. “He that saith he abideth in Him ought himself also so to walk, even as He walked.” 1 John 2:6

Are your eyes opening, my dear folks? Do you see? If you are not walking the perfect, sinless, Ten Commandment keeping life, you do not have Jesus inside of you. By our doing what the Bible says to do, testing ourselves daily and dying to sin daily, we can have Jesus living in us daily producing that sinless, perfect life. But if all we are doing is going to church and talking about “Jesus being in us and doing the work for us - saved by grace” then we do not have Jesus living in us and we are lost.

“I saw that but few among us answer to this description. Their love to God is in word, not in deed and in truth. Their course of action, their works, testify of them that they are not children of the light but of darkness. Their works have not been wrought in God, but in selfishness, in unrighteousness. Their hearts are strangers to His renewing grace. They have not experienced the transforming power which leads them to walk even as Christ walked. Those who are living branches of the heavenly Vine will partake of the sap and nourishment of the Vine. They will not be withered and fruitless branches, but will show life and vigor, and will flourish and bear fruit to the glory of God. They will be careful to depart from all iniquity and to perfect holiness in the fear of God.” (2T 441)

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 7:21. It is not the “will” of the Father for you to go to church. Revelation 18:4. It is His will for you to be obedient to Jesus. To stop sinning, to be perfect and to keep the Ten Commandments for your eternal life. John 5:14, Matthew 5:48, Matthew 19:17.

Richard goes on to talk about my“litany of spite.”

“Never was there greater need of faithful warnings and reproofs, and close, straight dealing, than at this very time. Satan has come down with great power, knowing that his time is short. He is flooding the world with pleasing fables, and the people of God love to have smooth things spoken to them. Sin and iniquity are not abhorred. I was shown that God’s people must make more firm, determined efforts to press back the incoming darkness. The close work of the Spirit of God is needed now as never before. Stupidity must be shaken off. We must arouse from the lethargy that will prove our destruction unless we resist it. Satan has a powerful, controlling influence upon minds. Preachers and people are in danger of being found upon the side of the powers of darkness. There is no such thing now as a neutral position. We are all decidedly for the right or decidedly with the wrong. Said Christ: ‘He that is not with Me is against Me; and he that gathereth not with Me scattereth abroad.’” {3T 327.3}

The Lord raised up this ministry and is dictating and directing the material this ministry is putting out. There are those, like Richard, like the Pharisees, like the church leaders of all ages, who refuse to listen to those God is using to bring the people back to Him. We don’t fit their pride, ego and opinions. They judge the messenger while the message that God is giving is being rejected. It has been the same throughout history. Jeremiah was rejected by the church. Jesus was rejected by the church. The disciples were rejected by the church. Martin Luther was rejected by the church. The 1844 message was rejected by the churches. Now the church raised up to teach that 1844 message has rejected it.

I pray that each of you will listen to the voice of God only. Forget the messenger. Why God chose me is for Him to know. Why did He choose John the Baptist? Why did He choose Isaiah? Why did He choose Jeremiah? Only He knows. But one thing is for sure, we had better listen to the words of Jesus and obey them.

I want to thank everyone who has been so faithful to the Lord Jesus Christ in supporting this, His little ministry. Jesus gave His life to bring you the truth to eternal life.

Love in Christ,
